@ClaudineClare

Why is she letting him waffle on?
Same reason as Maitlis let the Duke of York waffle on, I guess. The more they waffle, the more they incriminate themselves and the stupider they look. I always thought Emily could teach Sophie a lot - looks as if she’s learned.

James Cleverly said a little more on the matter of BJ's resignation or not, JC said with Russian troops, energy crisis etc etc "Now is not the time for a vacuum at the head of Govt"

I think that'll be their line and whatever BJ is found to have done, he will stay on.

FatFredsFriedEgg · 20/02/2022 13:17

Actually makes me wonder what he's like behind closed doors. How does he treat his staff or his wife and children?

I was just thinking about his wives and children as I was reading cakeorwine's response. I think that men like him often don't bother keeping up the 'nice guy' act behind closed doors.

DuncinToffee · 20/02/2022 13:23

Remember that the police was called to Carrie and Bojo's house and they did the weird garden photo afterwards?

BringBackCoffeeCreams · 20/02/2022 13:23

@itsgettingweird

Yes the Buffoon act is slipping quite a lot.

He's showing a side of him that's worse than that - we know he's got narcissistic tendencies but he's showing a potentially nasty side.

Actually makes me wonder what he's like behind closed doors. How does he treat his staff or his wife and children?

We already know what he's like behind closed doors. He conspires to have people beaten up and have their ribs broken and he rows with his spouse in such a way that neighbours have to step in and call the police.

Now is not the time to have a vacuum at the head of government?

What the fuck does the misnamed Cleverly think we’ve got now? Are they really saying that the quality of their MPs is so poor that there isn’t a single one out of over 300 who is competent to run the country? Do they actually listen to what they’re saying?

BringBackCoffeeCreams · 20/02/2022 13:30

Just in case anyone hasn't heard it, here's the recording of him conspiring to have a reporter beaten up. e should have gone to jail for this.

Well it is clear that rather a lot of the staff at Number 10 are too scared of someone to have done the right thing and not attended parties whilst telling people they could not visit dying relatives.

Someone called Boris a vacuum? I suppose it is one way of describing him.

His mean spiritedness was on full display some time ago when he walked out of the HoC when Teresa May took to the floor to question how he had arrived at his Covid lockdown policies.

Total disregard of the tradition of courtesy for someone speaking and pointedly as a disrespect of the former PM.

But seems she was on to something back then because he clearly doesn’t have a clue about the rules let alone the rationale for them 🤔

Ha ha so get someone else then.

UnconditionalSurrender · 21/02/2022 10:44

He def seems to be going down the not going even if found guilty route. Shifting the goalposts and thinking no one notices. Quite typical of a narcissist. Its up to the Tory party to see if they can locate any sense of decency and/or their backbone.
Talking up the Ukraine thing when measured language would be more diplomatic, in order to make himself look Churchillian and deflect from his troubles at home is absolutely hideous. But what you would expect of him. No one listens to him anyway, hopefully

Presumably if one was confident one was innocent one would be saying that one would go if found guilty...

Bozo the clown is not having a good start to the week

According to the 1pm news Sunak and Javid have been arguing about money for a week. The wheels are definitely coming off.

DuncinToffee · 21/02/2022 14:29

Yes, it also looks like the big announcement on living with covid has changed to a joint press conference with Whitty and Vallance.

HOC statement 4.30pm, then telly reporter sesh 'when will you resign Bozo?' frothfest at 7pm I believe.
DuncinToffee · 21/02/2022 15:43

It be nice if he could answer that last question.

AuldAlliance · 21/02/2022 18:11

Is "telly reporters" the UK equivalent of Trump's "mainstream media/Fake News" lexicon?

Maggiethecat · 21/02/2022 18:53

@AuldAlliance - didn’t you hear that it’s all fake news?!

It’s them telly reporters making it all up.

I think we've got to the point where you literally couldn't make up the shitshow!

ClaudineClare · 21/02/2022 22:17

Hooray! 🥳The pandemic is over! Also, it is not over.☠️

God, his waffling was off the scale.

AuldAlliance · 22/02/2022 05:34

"Today is not the day we can declare victory over Covid, because this virus is not going away.

But it is the day when all the efforts of the last two years finally enabled us to protect ourselves while restoring our liberties in full."

Meaning got lost in the word soup.
