If Johnson and his fellow lawbreakers get away with it there will be such a precedent set for lawbreaking being OK if you are in a privileged position.

(I can recommend the Falls of Clyde for a really scenic day out 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿)

Falls of Clyde look beautiful, quite the location for a party.

@Notonthestairs

I think the predictions should probably wait until after the local elections.
I’m not expecting him to go before that. I also predict his MPs won’t be able get shot fast enough when they see the results.

Sorry about the other thread, guys. I’m almost afraid to post on this one.

ClaudineClare · 11/02/2022 18:37

What the heck happened? Anyway have found you all.

AdamRyan · 11/02/2022 18:38

I hope it wasn't me calling our esteemed leader a Bad Name Blush

iklboo · 11/02/2022 18:41

Exclusive:

Boris Johnson will appoint his own private lawyer if he receives a questionnaire from the police over alleged breaches of lockdown rules

The lawyer will focus on his ‘unique’ legal situation - that No 10 is both his home and workplace

ClaudineClare · 11/02/2022 18:42

I think that is v unlikely! But there are some assiduous reporters so we all need to be careful not to upset the nut apple cart.

Dictionary definition of unique.

"being the only one of its kind; unlike anything else."

So they are saying that no one else has their place of work in their home now?

It’s hardly unique.

Sorry, that was to AdamRyan

I think now that it is recess everything will go quiet for a while.

Worrying news from Ukraine, US and UK advising their nationals to leave the country asap

Peregrina · 11/02/2022 18:51

I twisted my ankle the other day and nearly had a fall. This was not enjoyable. My foot hurt all evening.

As for the polling predictions - I can't myself see Labour and SNP working together any time soon.

GreenLunchBox · 11/02/2022 18:53
Clear evidence here that Boris is a massive vote winner.

Off topic but you know you're getting old when you 'have a fall' rather than just fall over 🙈

Yeah, has he not noticed half the country were working from home this last two years? 🤔
DuncinToffee · 11/02/2022 18:56

Watching short track speed skating, I saw quite a few falls

Piggywaspushed · 11/02/2022 18:58

The falls are lovely in New England. The leaves are spectacular.

Please do try and not lead this thread astray, some posters don't like it when people go off topic, and quite clearly this thread is about enjoyable falls, not hurting ones feet.

I wish I knew what you are all on about. I fear I have fallen out of the loop.

The Ukraine news is very worrying.

cakeorwine · 11/02/2022 19:03

I would just love Keir Starmer to say to Johnson about the employment stats, GDP stats etc.

In a voice explaining why he is not being entirely accurate.

And then the Speaker should expect Johnson to actually answer the question.
@DuncinToffee so the Met were waiting to be contacted by those at the gatherings to admit they had broken the law? Just like they do with other crimes. Police stations across London must be empty right now. No wonder crime (not including fraud) is falling.
The Met need to start doing their fucking jobs

ClaudineClare · 11/02/2022 19:08

Was your fall out of the loop enjoyable?

Yes, I landed on a fluffy cloud made of the delusions of Johnson supporters.
