Lovely peeps. Hello.

borntobequiet · 11/02/2022 19:10

He'll still be PM at the next GE.

One can only hope so as it should lead to the ultimate destruction of the Conservative party.

DuncinToffee · 11/02/2022 19:17

Please send some good vibes to Therese Coffey whos has complained to her energy supplier that her household bill is too high.

After all she only earns £149,437 as an MP and Cabinet minister

GreenLunchBox · 11/02/2022 19:19

The Ukraine situation is frightening. I'm just listening to the US national security advisor telling their citizens to flee

I wonder who our national security advisor is ...probably Tim Martin who owns Wetherspoons

Do not be so sure. There are people who will vote for the Tories regardless of how corrupt they are. I hope I am wrong though.

My heart bleeds for her. Poor, poor woman.

The Ukraine really concerns me. I have some loose connections over there and it’s an anxious enough time without falling so far in the eyes of the global stage. We’re an absolute non-entity at best.

I can’t process how this cabinet are allowing us to look like utter fools for their own egos. But then look at the wreckage BJ left behind in the Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe case. Utter fuckwit and waste of dna structure.

I've been thinking this too. It highlights how awful an idea the Brexit thing is. We need unity, not our populist leader pissing off allies like Boris did when he tweeted that letter he sent to Macron, and stoking division.

We do not really have a table at discussions. Germany and France were talking in Berlin today with Russia and Ukraine. Where were we? Instead we've got Liz Truss making an arse of herself doing her Poundland Thatcher impression and getting criticised by Russian officials. How far we've fallen.

I'm really hoping that the US intelligence is wrong this time. It is terrifying.

Why? that guarantees a stonking SNP majority and probably a Con defeat... whats not to like?
itsgettingweird · 11/02/2022 20:12

Where did last thread go? I literally joined it to come back and post and it's gone poof in the few hours I was out!

itsgettingweird · 11/02/2022 20:14

I actually had a fall once and had a quick birthday party afterwards.

My 21st I spent in hospital with a weird virus that attacked me and friends were allowed a quick visit.

They threw me the most amazing 22nd to make up for it.

This was decade before the pandemic so I think it was ok Grin

derxa · 11/02/2022 20:15

Why? that guarantees a stonking SNP majority and probably a Con defeat... whats not to like? I hate the SNP with a passion. Are you Scottish? We need an opposition up here. It's a fucking dictatorship

itsgettingweird · 11/02/2022 20:15

Decades - not even just one decade BlushGrin

Peregrina · 11/02/2022 20:30

I recommend High Force Waterfall where the River Tees goes over the Whin Sill. As a bonus you are not too far away from Barnard Castle so you may test your eyesight in the same outing.

longwayoff · 11/02/2022 20:31

Oh dear God, can you imagine this bunch of clowns in charge if Ukraine kicks off? Petrifying.

countrygirl99 · 11/02/2022 20:37

I'm going to Victoria Falls in June. Start of a trip of a lifetime road trip 😊

Blossomtoes · 11/02/2022 20:45

We spend a lot of time in the Dales, we love Aysgarth Falls, they’re spectacular.

My dads parentage is. I like Sturgeon, compared to what we've got south of the border, she is a serious politician.

The more Scots vote Tory, the more Scotland will get English Tory policies, the Tory party of old is long gone.

AuldAlliance · 11/02/2022 20:57

I fell off a catwalk once.

Here is the Week in Tory.
You can tumble gently into it if you so wish.

I like her too. My dad's Scottish, and my Scottish relatives vote SNP.

BlackeyedSusan · 11/02/2022 21:08

Yabu......because this is thread 7.5 and it is taking too long I tell you, too long. Should be past tensed by now.

Alexandra2001 · 11/02/2022 21:22

An Energy Minister on R4's Any Questions says BJ will have his Full Support if Bojo gets a FPN... banged on about the electorate will have their say at the next GE.
i think this will be their strategy - so no chance of him going whatever the Met decide.
Poor May elections will be down to a mid term protest vote as we come out of the pandemic with biggliest GDP growth ever.

In one way, its very sad what Bozo is doing to the UK but if this behavior ends Tory rule for a few GE's, then at least thats silver lining.

Notonthestairs · 11/02/2022 21:32

I agree Alexandra - unless something else comes out or there are further scandals. And with Johnson there is always a strong possibility of that.
Ridiculous that a PN that breaks his own legislation and misleads Parliament (more than once) is waved on by his own MP's.
