Have rearranged Dp's now that I've moved in, words have been said, so what's the verdict?

For me, knives, forks, spoons.

AutumnLeavesEverywhere · 04/02/2022 23:50

Knives, forks, spoons, with teaspoons in the horizontal slot above them

Seriouslymole · 04/02/2022 23:50

Forks, knives, spoons and teaspoons at the front. But I didn’t realise there was an order per se…how have you done it?

QforCucumber · 04/02/2022 23:51

As above knives forks spoons

Hotelhelp · 04/02/2022 23:51

Every time I put the cutlery away I have forgotten again so it’s different every time

Coulddowithanap · 04/02/2022 23:51

Knives, forks, spoons, tea spoons here.

BIWI · 04/02/2022 23:51

Across the middle/main part of the drawer:

spoons - alternative design spoons - large forks - smaller forks - large knives - smaller knives - alternative design forks - alternative design knives

Top right - teaspoons

Bottom - serving spoons, random leftover forks/knives

aibutohavethisusername · 04/02/2022 23:51

Knives forks spoons from right to left.

Saisong · 04/02/2022 23:51

Not this again.

It goes Knives, Forks, Spoons.

End of.

Hotelhelp · 04/02/2022 23:51

Wow wow wow @AutumnLeavesEverywhere the horizontal but goes at the bottom?! Surely?

BIWI · 04/02/2022 23:51

Thatsplentyjack · 04/02/2022 23:52

It's a fancy cutlery tray made to fit my enormously wide drawer - now I'm questioning if the kitchen fitters have installed it upside down 😂

Yep - or rather, I don't care
onedayoranother · 04/02/2022 23:54

Knives, forks, spoons, long knife and garlic press cork screw etc in large middle section, then dessert forks, teaspoons. In front left steak knives, in first right other mixed stuff (wine stopper etc).

Hotelhelp · 04/02/2022 23:54

I think they have you need to call them back to fix it Shock

Kite22 · 04/02/2022 23:55

Obviously forks are on the left of knives so when you pick them up to lay the table, they are the right way round in your hands.

LakieLady · 04/02/2022 23:57

L-R: knives, forks, spoons, teaspoons across the bottom.

Any other arrangement is simply wrong.

MonkeyPuddle · 04/02/2022 23:58

My ex rearranged my cutlery drawer when he moved in. Pisses me off still that he did it.

Anyway, it’s random utensils and a million calpol syringes, sharp knives, knives, forks and big spoons, tea spoons at the bottom.

ihaveonecat · 04/02/2022 23:58

Forks, knives, spoons
Fork is before knife
Teaspoons at the bottom

Wafflesnsniffles · 04/02/2022 23:58

Knives forks spoons sounds nicest when spoken aloud.............
But we have ours arranged spoons forks knives because we eat with the fork in our left hand, knife in our right. And that way the knives are closest to the front of our cutlery drawer....... and we use the knives most often which makes them the easiest to get.

Wafflesnsniffles · 05/02/2022 00:01

Noooooooo teaspoons go in the horizontal slot at the top (nearest the eating part of the spoons, forks, knives!) - Its a rule! Autumnleaves is right.
SomeOwlsCoo · 05/02/2022 00:04

L-R. Random crap that has no other home (garlic press, reusable straws etc.)
Knives, forks, spoons. Teaspoons in the small section at the top (eg nearer the back of the drawer)
