In what order do you have your cutlery drawer?

Have rearranged Dp's now that I've moved in, words have been said, so what's the verdict?

Ok I’m completely different-
Spoons, forks, knives.
I can’t do it any other way! We eat with forks in our left hands and knives in our right so to put them the other way round in the cutlery drawer makes me feel irrationally angry and muddled. It’s back to front.

Forks, knives, spoons and teaspoons at the front. But I didn’t realise there was an order per se…how have you done it?

Forks, knives, spoons then teaspoons horizontally at the bottom. Mil disagrees though and tries to change it each and every time she comes round (and insists on washing up while people are still eating!) She thinks it should be knives first and puts it away in that order fucking up my system! I'm 'just wrong' by all accounts!

Not completely...

Spoons, forks, knives. Teaspoons horizontal at the front.

Knives, forks, spoons & teaspoons across the bottom in the larger side tin opener, bread knife etc...

Along the back: Dessert spoons, soup spoons, forks, knives specialist knives (steak, butter etc)
At the front: Teaspoons, baby & toddler cutlery

That's the rough idea. We don't have dividers so it gets messy fairly fast.

I just chuck them in there and hope for the best, really. DP has a ‘system’, but I don’t consider that any of my business.

Controversially we have
Spoons, forks, knives.
We have the small tea spoon bit at the top.

Underneath the cutlery tray live some stray straws, a calpol spoon a calpol syringe. Shed keys, gas meter box key.

@Chichimcgee but the actual hands that we hold them to eat with are the opposite way to the way that lots of people are putting them in their drawers and that makes no sense to me! Disclaimer: I’m pretty sure I’m autistic.

I’m autistic too and for me saying ‘knives and forks’ means when you go the drawer, that’s the order they’re in. I also eat holding the knife in my left hand so your way makes no sense for me personally

From left to right it goes small spoons, big spoons, forks, knives.

@Chichimcgee ahh see I eat with the knife in my right hand so I have to see it on the right hand side in the drawer, also I would never pick up a knife before a fork and I have to go from left to right. I have put far too much thought into this

You wouldn’t ask for a fork and knife. You’d ask for a knife and fork so that’s the order the drawer MUST go in. 😂

Forks, knives, spoons. Forks to left of knives so mirroring how they are laid on the table. All this knives first business is insane

We used to have K, F, Sp until dyslexic DS reordered it to F, K, Sp. He used to get so confused laying the table and by reordering it, he made it simple for himself. Much better way of doing it!

It's not an issue if you just lay the table, or ask somebody else to do it.

Oh my God, this is so important to me

I have a vintage wooden cutlery tray, so:

Sharp / bread knives in the longest section; knives, forks then spoons in the three mid-length sections; tea spoons in the shorter bottom section. Not negotiable

Bunch of madheads you lot.

It’s spoons, forks, knives, big stuff

Teaspoons at bottom (only have to open draw a tad when doing a brew), kids metal knives/forks/spoons. Top... baby spoons, dessert spoons, forks, knives. Long side one has knives, scissors, medicine spoons/syringes & steak knives.
Drawer contains lots of other stuff at the side of the organiser.
