Boris - new low

Obviously he's running scared from his own side as well and Labour and the excellent contribution from Ian Blackford - no doubt Dennis Skinner would have done the same if still an MP.

However, there was no need for Johnson to stoop to the level of more lies - this time trying smear Kier Starmer with untrue allegations about Jimmy Savile.

@JaniieJones

It's awful isn't it. Her parents should be ashamed of themselves encouraging letter writing when she has the facts wrong. It wasn't a party. I feel sorry for any kid that has parents that pull a stunt like this.

I've been partying all afternoon in that case. Coffee and cake at m&s then DM's. I need a lie down.

Oh come off it. It really doesn’t matter what the terminology is does it ? If it wasn’t a ‘party’ it was a ‘gathering’ of around thirty people in the cabinet room with a birthday cake, at a time when ‘gatherings’ of more than two people inside were banned by law. An exception was allowed if the gathering "was reasonably necessary" for work purposes. Police fines started at £100 - so if the little girl who wrote to the PM had had her party and been caught out, everyone at that party - or in this case their parents - would have been fined. A crystal clear case of one rule for them and another for us. You stated in a previous post that you don’t think any laws were broken - how did you arrive at that and why are you trying to defend the indefensible ?

I hardly think that what we have seen over the last week is political stability.

It is funny how posts accusing people of being Tory bots get zapped immediately, yet accusations on another thread of posters being from Momentum and spreading propaganda are allowed to stand.

Could we have some consistency please MNHQ?

But Jeremy Corbyn.

No consistency at all from MNHQ.
Blossomtoes · 07/02/2022 12:04

It’s not MNHQ’s fault. I think their policy is to just delete any reported post. Most of us accused of being Momentum sympathisers have pretty broad shoulders, laugh and move on. There’s a very enthusiastic reporter on these threads, using it as a means of derailment.

I love it that the new communications bloke at No 10 has said, that Boris "isn't a complete clown." I wonder what percentage of clown he is. I% or maybe 99%.

FatFredsFriedEgg · 07/02/2022 17:42

Well he's not got the big flappy shoes so he's obviously not a complete clown.

daimbarsatemydogsbone · 07/02/2022 17:44

"don't feed the troll" isn't allowed now?

WTAF? I didn't even name anyone?

Are you sure he didn't wear them to entertain at any of the parties he was working at?

I don't think we can be sure if we haven't seen the photos including his shoes.

I don't know why but the idea of that being a defence of Johnson has really tickled me. Talk about a back handed compliment.
Languishingonthesidelines · 07/02/2022 17:50

Apparently Johnson and Guto Hari (new advisor) were singing ‘I will survive’ together. So zany Confused.

ancientgran · 07/02/2022 17:51

Are you sure he didn't wear them to entertain at any of the parties he was working at? I didn't think of that. Brilliant defence strategy, he was working at those gatherings, he was the entertainment! Well that's it then, he's off the hook.

ancientgran · 07/02/2022 17:52

Do you think they were both in clown outfits.
ancientgran · 07/02/2022 17:54

Not so funny that Keir Starmer needed the police to get him away from angry anti vax protesters who were heard shouting Jimmy Saville jibes. I hope the PM is ashamed but I suppose that is hoping too much.

Boris The Clown has no shame, that's obvious.

It came to me some time ago, when another poster helpfully pointed out that Boris is in No 10 to read out messages, doesn't have many other responsibilities, but was working at the parties. It really is obvious, now one thinks about it.
ancientgran · 07/02/2022 18:03

You're right. Brought me back down with a bang, I was chuckling at the idea of him and Guto singing in clown costumes.

It's starting to sound like the final days of Trump isn't it. Lucky that no one was hurt but that is no thanks to Johnson.

ancientgran · 07/02/2022 18:05

@jgw1 So he's maybe like the butler or the maitre d?

Ffs, just seen that they had a noose. This is all getting completely out of hand.
NETSRIK · 07/02/2022 18:27

Boris is a clown and the government is a joke. FFS what a state we are in. Singing 'I will survive' in Downing Street and having a good old laugh at how funny things all are. Glad they are laughing and making light of it all while the rest of us (well, those of us with eyes and ears and common sense) are all still fucked off beyond fucked about the parties and lies and met police cover up. Boris Johnson needs to fuck the fuck off (channelling my Malcolm Tucker there).
