For me, it was Paris. Not an AIBU, I know

Munich. Boring. Oktoberfest was shit and eye-wateringly expensive.

Lottapianos · 27/01/2022 21:23

New York. It's a big bustling city. I live in London, so it felt a bit underwhelming

ZeusandClio · 27/01/2022 21:25

Nice. Disgusting shithole. Monaco and San Remo were great though, but Nice is horrid.

FindmeuptheFarawaytree · 27/01/2022 21:27

Cornwall.

EcoCustard · 27/01/2022 21:27

Mauritius. It was lovely don’t get me wrong but it just didn’t hit the spot, wasn’t what I was expecting.

Refrosty · 27/01/2022 21:27

Olive Garden 😹

TheSpottedZebra · 27/01/2022 21:27

Pisa. Boring shithole with a poorly-built building.

halfsiesonapotnoodle · 27/01/2022 21:28

Venice.

HellonHeels · 27/01/2022 21:28

Dublin

Hollyhead · 27/01/2022 21:28

French Rivera, don’t get me wrong it’s nice, but there are so many more relaxing nicer places!

Jimjamjong · 27/01/2022 21:29

I guess it depends on your expectations.
Mine was Cambridge.

Mamette · 27/01/2022 21:29

Niagra Falls.

Spidey66 · 27/01/2022 21:30

Las Vegas

HeadNorth · 27/01/2022 21:30

Ireland. I live in Scotland so our scenery is far more amazing- I couldn’t get the fuss.

WhyYesYABU · 27/01/2022 21:30

NYC here too. I didn't hate it, but I was living in London at the time and it didn't feel worth all the £££ to go to.

Whydoesthecatalwaysdothat · 27/01/2022 21:32

Athens

It was very very dirty. Sad

Campervan69 · 27/01/2022 21:32

Morocco. Hated the creepy men and subjugation of the local women.

Infinitemoon · 27/01/2022 21:32

Bahamas. A dangerous and humid.

TragicMuse · 27/01/2022 21:33

Hay on Wye. Yes, there are lots of bookshops, but they don't actually hold interesting stock. I was ready to spend a fortune on things I was looking for, I bought one book.

ANameChangeAgain · 27/01/2022 21:33

Amsterdam. We're spoilt with our capitals I think, London and Edinburgh knock the socks off most European cities, except for Rome, of course.
I was disappointed with Tunisia, we found the people outside of the hotel really difficult, either very hostile or over attentive.

JanuaryBluehoo · 27/01/2022 21:34

Nice a disgusting shit hole?????

Paris??

Venice??

ofwarren · 27/01/2022 21:34

Cancun
We stayed at a 5 star resort but it was boring. The beaches are beautiful but the area itself is scruffy and feels unsafe.

Sunsetsupernova · 27/01/2022 21:35

Paris for me too. Such a dirty horrible city, I don’t understand why everyone romanticises it so much. Also Rome but I think visiting in the middle of summer when it was unbearably hot (and I’m a real sun worshipper) may have clouded my view so I’m happy to give it another chance.

ContadoraExplorer · 27/01/2022 21:36

@EcoCustard

Mauritius. It was lovely don’t get me wrong but it just didn’t hit the spot, wasn’t what I was expecting.
Agree with this, was supposed to be a 5 star end to our African honeymoon and it was just a bit blah really.
Putdownthecake · 27/01/2022 21:36

New York . It was on my bucket list, so much so I returned to do Christmas after visiting one summer, thinking it must be better than my first impression and I'd give it another go but nope. I'd vote for London every time
