To wish my neighbours would take down their Christmas decs!

Lovely display of houses

And yet 3 out of the 10 houses nearby have their Christmas decs up still!

So all 3 have their lights up still, proper Christmas ones, and then one of them, I can still see the bloody tree through the window!

AIBU to say take the bloody things down ffs?!

Our local town still has the Christmas lights on every night in the town centre

Our neighbours still have their real Xmas tree up and decorated. They don't put the lights on any more.,

I think that there's been an argument about who is meant to take the decorations down and they are involved in a stand off!

We only just took our tree down yesterday, couldn't be bothered to do it earlier and it wasn't in anyone's way.

I hear you. Things like this wouldn't usually bother me but next door has blue flashing icicles on the gutter, I keep thinking it's a cop car or ambulance. Across the road has their windows covered in very fast flashing bright white lights. Another house has all their outdoor lights on and 2 inflatables, a santa and snowman. It actually is annoying me. It's nearly February take the poxy decorations down..

Maybe they like looking at them? Maybe it cheers them up? Really none of your business.

It's their house, their prerogative, nothing to do with you at all. Of course it's perfectly acceptable!

As to them having MH issues, Maybe they just find them cheery in the bleakness of January!

My neighbour had a hideous ornament that filled half her front window and I couldn’t avoid seeing it every time I drive into my drive. After she died it was finally cleared. I can’t even explain why I hated it so much (obviously I never said anything). I told dh and he thought it was hilarious. Now he’s confessed that he’s more bothered by our other neighbours who have a plant in the front window that’s clearly dead You don’t need a good reason for something to annoy you.

We still have a wreath of berries on the front door purely because I love the clash between our orange-red door and the pinkish-red berries but as it's not visible from the street, maybe that meets with the OP's approval?
