The point at which you're old...

... Is when someone comments you look good for your age?

I got told I look good for 40 today.

No one ever said that in my 30s

I feel old

I am 50.. Had my eyebrows dyed literally days ago. Today I plucked a long bloody white hair out! What has life got in store that I need long white eyebrows to deal with it?

When you start to watch old films and everyone looks young and gorgeous! These are people you would've usually thought of as old and irrelevant - suddenly they look like babes!

I think you will look back at being 40 and realise you were young.

My 6 year old granddaughter
“ knittingnanny, you are old and your skin is a bit wrinkly but you have very nice soft hair”
My eldest son recently commented that I am young in my forward thinking and outlook so that’s a bit more flattering!
I’m 65 and feel like I’ve got lots more to come.
Although my knees are not as good as they were!

Keep up with current thinking, don’t hark back to the good old days, spend time with people of all ages, show interest in a wide variety of things, don’t fall out with people, eat well, don’t keep anything for best and you won’t seem old!
That’s my plan!

I think I felt quite “old” at 40 though, 3 children, working full time, not enough time or money, parents getting older, etc.
It’s a bit like when you think at 20 you are fat, then at 50 you think “ I was I was as fat now as I was when I was 20”!

I am 61 and feel younger ( and am frequently told I look younger than I did years ago) ok my health fluctuates but I started going to the gym a few months ago, had my brows microbladed last year and try to be the best version of me.
I could feel old as I am the older generation in my family as the last one of the previous one recently passed on.

Age is but a number and each day is to be lived to the fullest.

It depends who your audience is. A toddler will think anyone vaguely adult looking is old. So that could be a 20 year old. A 70 year old will think a 45 year old is young.

Old is a state of mind not a number.

Also very dependent on your age. If you're 6, 20 is old. If you're 20, 45 is old. It's all relative.

DD, who has SN, told the doctor at her hospital appointment the other day that I was 69. Umm a good few years to go still.Shock

At least the doctor didn't look like she believed it. Then I really would have felt old.

Well I'm 40 and now I think 40 is old.

Fwiw she was older than me, maybe 5 years or so and I do think she was being nice

I recommend older sisters to make you feel young—in wish I had half the energy of my eldest sister and she has 20 years on me! But it’s true it’s an attitude. I recently lost a ton of weight and feel younger (and look younger) than I have for years!

If you trip up and people look concerned and try to help you rather than laughing. Then you know you are old.

My exh ruined my 40th..i had divorced him before I was 41..
Met now dh at 42 and he made sure I had a fab 50th!!
