The point at which you're old...

... Is when someone comments you look good for your age?

I got told I look good for 40 today.

No one ever said that in my 30s

Yeah. I was going to say the had a fall instead of just falling over thing. DS2 and I were discussing that just the other day.
My DC and my coven have become more protective of me. Ensuring I'm warm, can sit down, etc. carrying things!
It's true about the police officers looking younger, too. And magistrates, judges, lawyers, teachers, doctors, you name it.
I find it all very funny.
And I never hesitate to remind them that I am now extremely wise.

I think it's relative- I am often out and about with my DM, who is still full of energy and engaging with life ... she is 89 this year and I am in my mid 60s Grin ... I don't actually feel 'old' although no doubt many people would consider that I am old ! I am still working, lots of younger colleagues who seem to enjoy my company - unless they are just being polite...

Watching Indiana Jones and thinking that Harrison Ford is sex on legs when every time you've seen it previously you thought he was an old man.

I went to DD1’s parents evening and half of the teachers were younger than me.

When DD1 explains things from TikTok and looks amazed and delighted when I understand, like a proud parent when their preschooler draws a lovely picture or something.

I’m 39 and DD1 is 15.

My friends say I look much younger…why do bus drivers keep asking me if I’ve got a bus pass then?

Another good guide is that people don’t laugh when you fall over, they look worried and help you up.

I was always told I look good or young for my age. At 45 I noticed this had stopped.

So now no one cares I’m old.

I'm in my early 30s and feel quite old now, truth be told. I first felt it when I turned 30 of thereabouts, plus my parents are now in their 50s and being able to see how they've aged reminds me as well. Having energetic kids may play a part in feeling this way though, I'm at least a little tired most of the time!

As a 24-year-old college teacher, I was quite flattered when an 18 year old student said, "You're cool..." but the moment was ruined with the follow up of "because you're old and you've accepted it!"

When you are 60, reliably believe you look 54 and an F2 who looks 12 assumes in A&E you are retired and asks if you need help to live independently.

Personally I think it's a cross between age discrimination and being as thick as vim.

Noooooo! I fancied him first time I saw it, and I was 7! Mind you, I'd already fallen in love with him as Han, when I was four.
