@Rhea17078 My Son's DLA forms were received on 17th February. I called them on Tuesday and my claim was with a decision maker. I was told a decision would be made by next week and to call back then for an update x

Meganos · 22/04/2022 17:30

Hi, does anyone know if 324.50 monthly is it lower rate plus medium? Because online it says that lower rate 24.45 and medium 61.85 so it makes 345 monthly..?

OutlookStalking · 23/04/2022 16:56

Wow! Can't believe it! Ours MRC LRM has been renewed!!! I hate this process so much. Her evidence is now 2 years old, and a different school where she has a lot less support so wasnt sure if we'd lose it. Also I asked for it to be til she's 16 rather than 2 years again which they've honoured (well they've put til she's 17...)

I dont think anyone in real life woild get what a relief this is.

Also - depsite us sending it in "late" (only a couple of weeks before renewal) we had the decision quickly before it ran out!!!

OutlookStalking · 23/04/2022 17:54

@Meganos No it would be 345. Maybe its not quite 4 whole weeks. Or could one be higher!?

Ring them monday and ask.

LWWL2022 · 24/04/2022 09:18

My sons DLA forms was received 18th Feb, phoned Friday to be told they were working on the 9th and that we have another 4 week wait, it just seems never ending x

Rewritethestars1 · 25/04/2022 11:56

Urrghhh its so frustrating. I was told to check after 8 weeks then told another 2 weeks now been told mid May for a decision. Took me an hour on hold to get through. I get they are busy but its frustrating none the less.

Momof4boyos · 25/04/2022 14:39

My Son's DLA forms were received on 17th February.
I have called today to check progress and have been told my decision is imminent. The forms are at the top of the decision maker's pile.
Eekk!

Rewritethestars1 · 25/04/2022 15:53

Good luck fingers crossed for you @Momof4boyos

OutlookStalking · 25/04/2022 16:53

Goodluck mumof4

@Meganos Meganos did you find out what was happening?

Sha2022 · 28/04/2022 22:50

Hi. Some one apply for family fund . Any idea how long they take ? I have first time xx .

Lougle · 29/04/2022 13:56

Just thought I'd update to say that DD1 has been awarded PIP at enhanced rate for both elements after a 4 month wait. They didn't call her for interview and just did it on paperwork.

thisisscary · 29/04/2022 15:52

Claim was received on 8th March, just had a letter today 29th April saying sorry they haven't decided yet and they will be in touch when they have more news.
Is that a good sign that it's being dealt with? Or a bad sign that it's stuck in a queue?

xxAmy · 29/04/2022 18:17

@thisisscary I had the same letter & was awarded high rate care, low rate mobility.

can anyone please explain the renewal process to me please?

  • will they contact me before claim runs out?

  • will it be the exact same form as before?

& anything else that might be helpful please x

Rewritethestars1 · 29/04/2022 19:31

@thisisscary I have had the same letter today.
I phoned earlier in this week and got told another 2 weeks for claim to be looked at and its on a pile waiting.
Thet could save admin time sending out letters and actually look at the claims

Rewritethestars1 · 29/04/2022 19:32

@xxAmy do you remember how long from the letter until you got the decision?

Lougle · 29/04/2022 20:18

@xxAmy they will write and you have to do the same form again.

Meganos · 29/04/2022 23:33

Sorry for the late reply I called them and my daughter has been awarded lmr and mcr.

Just wondering for how long usually children are awarded?

thisisscary · 30/04/2022 09:34

Yeah agree, don't need a polite letter telling me nothing, need a decision!
When was your form received @Rewritethestars1 ?

Rewritethestars1 · 30/04/2022 11:59

@thisisscary it was received 6th March

xxAmy · 30/04/2022 13:10

@Meganos our award was for 2 years, I think everyone gets different. How long was yours? I’m already nervous for our November 2023 renewal 😭😭

Meganos · 30/04/2022 14:39

xxAmy- first time we claimed it was for 2 years and now its 4 years

daisybrown37 · 02/05/2022 08:47

I was on this thread for my youngest sons first claim, which was successful.

Now back as my eldest’s renewal paperwork has been sent out. It is completed and will be sent off this week, with the evidence. Not sure what we will get - no recent medical appointments due to COVID, his paperwork not been forwarded on correctly and waiting lists for CAMHS. I have included his recent EHCP paperwork. I imagine we may lose LRM as he walks part way home from school now (which he hates and can only do preplanned routes)

Mummyemx · 05/05/2022 10:22

Hello, does anyone know how long reconsiderations are taking roughly? X

Amyxkx · 05/05/2022 12:45

Hi they received my daughters 4 weeks today not heard anything yet, another lady on here got back pay in her bank before any letter or text hers worked out 5 weeks and 2 days after phoning for MR x

Mummyemx · 05/05/2022 18:46

@Amyxkx Hello. Thank you. They received my daughters 3 weeks ago, so I’ll wait a few more weeks then x
