Dla waiting times

hi! New to this all but I started a new claim for my daughter and it was received and stamped on 30th October, reaching 9 weeks and no response as of yet, any ideas of the waiting time ?

@Mum2Two91 wow up to 18 weeks?! That's such a long wait! That would take me almost to when my claim runs out anyway as I would of had to renew by then.

About to 40 minutes hold no one answer call from DLA .

@Amyxkx I done it over the phone the day I got a payment into my bank and sent some more evidence, his independent assessor report from his blue badge and another 3 pages just going into a bit more detail about his needs out and about etc. Not heard anything back yet, its been 4 weeks since we called up to put the mr in x

Pmp1315. Hi don’t need to call tomorrow . I have update I have called today u r same date like me . I got told call next Tuesday and I will have Decision u can call Tuesday to . Hope full we will have good new good luck .

Ilovemychildren123 Yes I got told today even last weeks same thing about claim 31 to 4 feb. Will be look at this week over weekend they r working to . So he said call back Tuesday .

Sorry to jump in - Ive just finished my renewal. How did you all send it? Im feeling like it should be tracked, signed for the lot.... it is SO much work isn't it.

Spoke to them this morning - information I sent has been received and we are now with a case worker - I hope we all get our decisions soon the wait is killing me now xx

Posted! tracked and signed for and next day :)

On one hand it feels a huge weight has been lifted (I've spent several months struggling to find time/energy to fill in the form)

On the other hand it's being replaced by the fear that we may not be awarded as before -

Our last award was in covid - they don't interview the children do they? My autistic child would argue she is completely fine (she is in her eyes.......)

Still with case manager. We must have the same one lol she said could be another two weeks!!! I did put down for mobility just incase it took this long as my little one is 3 next week. Saved me re applying when he is 3 for mobility. So maybe will work out better and he will be awarded for both ar the same time. I will wait now until next Friday and call again. Please update me if you hear anything x

@Pmp1315 I hope we hear soon I called yesterday and really wanted to call again but decided not to lol 😂. I hope we hear next week just holds everything else up and all I want to do is be able to get funding for nursery for our son. I did hear they are working weekends to clear back log. I’ll call Monday / Tuesday if I don’t hear anything. I wonder if they are holding yours until next week etc looking at the mobility part and date of birth. Will keep you posted xx

The renewal form was sent off in early January. Just received a decision today only a couple of weeks before the award was due to end.
