Hey been following this post for a while now, ours was scanned in on 18th feb we've had our holding letter but feel so on edge. Anyone else with similar dates? X

OutlookStalking · 18/04/2022 09:28

Our letter says arrived 8th April (it was signed for a few days befroe but fair enough.)

It was due for renewal 20ish (need to check exactly) so very aware it wasnt "in time" so will see how long it takes....

LWWL2022 · 18/04/2022 09:58

The waiting is awful, ours is a first time application so very new to all of this, we've just gone past the 8 week mark so I think it will be in the next couple of weeks.. X

Ilovemychildren123 · 18/04/2022 10:14

@LWWL2022 our application was received on 1st February and we received our decision last Wednesday 13th April so just over 10 weeks. I phoned them loads last week but they won’t have been working over the bank holiday x

LWWL2022 · 18/04/2022 10:36

Yeah so we are looking at end of April beginning of May then I haven't phoned at all yet... My lo is 2years 8 months, global development delay, non verbal and he's been put through for an autism assessment, speech and language with it. seen some people really struggle with dla on this post with there lo needing that extra care always so worrying x

Ilovemychildren123 · 18/04/2022 10:57

@LWWL2022 our little boy is 2yr5months. He has Global Development Delay, non-verbal, referred for autism assessment, Hypermobility and hearing issue. We were awarded Middle rate care last week. I was very worried we wouldn’t get it too but we did. We sent a lot of evidence in and sent more reports in as and when we got them. Good luck xx

LWWL2022 · 18/04/2022 11:07

I bet your so relieved 🙂 we sent the first pediatrician letter, letter from his nursery keyperson and the questionnaire from his nursery but with everything that has happened with covid appointments don't come around very often, it's so hard to wait and question yourself everyday trying to justify why you've applied when you know they need it, thank you for the luck 🙂 xx

ParentingPDA88 · 18/04/2022 11:20

Hi, I’m wondering if anyone could please advise me the address for sending on further information for a new claim? I’m going round in circles looking online. Thanks

Ilovemychildren123 · 18/04/2022 11:39

@LWWL2022 yeah the appointments are very few and far between right now I hope you get an award soon.

@ParentingPDA88 the address I sent to is disability benefit centre 4, post handling site B, Wolverhampton, WV99 1BY.

Make sure to put your name, address nationalal insurance number and your child’s reference number which is found at the top of any letter they have sent you, just so they can tie it up with your claim
Xx

ParentingPDA88 · 18/04/2022 11:50

@Ilovemychildren123 thank you so much x

Momof4boyos · 19/04/2022 10:57

LWWL2022 · 19/04/2022 20:29
