AIBU curmudgeonly husband telling me off

Husband very comfortable with loud music (former DJs) live in detached, no kids, I let air horn off when heavy tune dropped, he turned into dad. It’s Boxing Day, letting my hair down, after me calling him a hypocrite, many sweary words, he flounced off to bedroom. AIBU to continue with very loud DnB & Jungle along with drinks & dancing around the living room like a maniac, while he sulks?

Good heavens! Have you had a sweet sherry too many, dear? Perhaps you could try a few Ritz crackers to simmer the excitement down a tad?

crispsarny · 26/12/2021 23:26

Sweet sherry, I’m not Dot Cotton, forgot it’s mumsnet, meant to retire after the age of 30, not the done thing to have fun?

Lol no it isn't - I have no kids.
BatonRouge · 26/12/2021 23:27

I think it's fine to let off an air horn provided you also blew a whistle and did a two finger salute.

Grotbags2020 · 26/12/2021 23:28

Keep on dropping the DnB
You likely made him jump and he reacted.

RedwineforSantaplease · 26/12/2021 23:29

Did you just have the air horn down the side of the sofa or do you have a stash of them in the sideboard? You know, just in case of a tune emergency.

falalalalalalalallama · 26/12/2021 23:29

But more importantly, what was the tune? (Love a bit of jungle Grin).

HappyGoLuckyLuLu · 26/12/2021 23:29

Pahahahaha these reactions. Carry on! Carry on & enjoy. You only live once
