To ask how you view the months of the year in your head?

When I think about the months of the year in my head I view it as a clock, like january js 1, June is 6 etc. I view it in my head like that, however, upon speaking to a couple of my friends about this tonight, they said they just think about it like a list. Wondering if anyone else thinks of it like I do?

Just a list.

gamerchick · 26/12/2021 22:24

Like a list here

WilliamofBaskerville · 26/12/2021 22:24

It’s circular for me, like a pie chart. But I understand some people think of it as linear. Circular makes more sense for me though!

Toadsinholes · 26/12/2021 22:24

Mine are up and down like rolling hills - Xmas at the bottom, July at the top!

astoundedgoat · 26/12/2021 22:25

List, but a horizontal one, not vertical.

Tittyfilarious81 · 26/12/2021 22:25

Just a list

PotatoOfTheNight · 26/12/2021 22:25

Like a horse shoe, open end facing down.

Jan at one end, Dec at the other (obviously Grin )

DustyMaiden · 26/12/2021 22:26

A circle around me, it’s written on the inside, it would go from December back to January.

Gottasinggottadance · 26/12/2021 22:26

Like a linear diary page for each month.

CaptainMerica · 26/12/2021 22:26

Same.
AdamantEve · 26/12/2021 22:26

Horizontal list - like a timeline

FruHagen · 26/12/2021 22:26

Four groups

Whenasuitcasejustwontdo · 26/12/2021 22:27

Three rows, Jan to April, May to August then Sept to Dec. Like a calendar!

WithRosesAroundTheDoor · 26/12/2021 22:27

I think that this has been discussed here before and most people saw a list or didn't have a visual.
For me, it's a big wheel, viewed side on. The current month is closest and the previous and next are at the sides, they continue into darkness. I can spin the wheel to see the other months and it makes a clicking sound.
It's a bit like the wheel of fortune Grin

ohidoliketobe · 26/12/2021 22:27

Linear timeline style for me

SmallGreenStripes · 26/12/2021 22:27

Horizontal list, split into seasons

celestebellman · 26/12/2021 22:27

I view it like a timeline with the months marching forward, and the weeks, each bookended by a weekend. I also visualise roughly where the holidays are. This allows me to see in my head what I am doing over a period of a few weeks and know what's happening - it drives me mad that my dp does not appear able to keep similar information in his brain and insists that everything gets put into his google calendar or he will not remember.

thinkningaboutit · 26/12/2021 22:28

Like a clock too, same as a week. I'm sure there were 'clock' displays in primary and it's just stuck.

TokyoSushi · 26/12/2021 22:28

Horizontal timeline type of list here too.

This is exactly how I see it too!
MotherOfBeardedDragons · 26/12/2021 22:28

Yes, I do 😂

I’m not sure why, but in my head January is 7, because the winter months seem to be at the bottom of my clock 🤷🏻‍♀️

aLilNonnyMouse · 26/12/2021 22:28

I see it like a 12 inch ruler, with each inch being one month. Something on the 15th of January would be half way between the jan and feb marker lines.

Yika · 26/12/2021 22:29

From January to June the months run across horizontally from left to right; then from June down to December the visual runs downwards more or less vertically. I see them all as a written word, but with some ambiance of the season around them.

PermanentTemporary · 26/12/2021 22:29

A series of blocks in a line, Jan to dec. But at an angle - going from top left at a shallow angle down to bottom right. As I 'look' at Dec in my mind I watch the line turning round so that Jan starts again on the left.

Frizzyhairhelp · 26/12/2021 22:29

A circle too but Christmas at 6pm with my summer birthday at the top Grin
