To ask how you view the months of the year in your head?

When I think about the months of the year in my head I view it as a clock, like january js 1, June is 6 etc. I view it in my head like that, however, upon speaking to a couple of my friends about this tonight, they said they just think about it like a list. Wondering if anyone else thinks of it like I do?

Wow, I've never even thought about it. I guess I might group months together into seasons e.g. Spring 'March, April, May' but I don't have any real image in my head when I imagine the months of the year!

Same as you OP.

I remember at infant school there was a picture of a circle on the wall with the months laid out in a clock as you described. I’ve always thought I must have learned it from then.

It’s fascinating reading the replies on this thread.

Your& me both!!
crazyjinglist · 10/01/2022 07:41

I don't think about it like this and don't have a visual image. If I wanted to think of one, it would just be a vertical list.

@JollyHostess

I agree, although I've never been completely sure about M and N!
Feminine - A, C, E, I, K, O, Q, S, U, V,
Masculine - B, D, F, G, H, J, P, R, T, W, X, Y
Never been sure - L, M, N, Z
I get a stronger sense from some than others.
I dread to think what this means about me!

January is a kind of horrible month, the anniversaries of the deaths of my aunt (5th) Grandad (12th) Uncle (13th) Dad (17th) & partner (26th) plus ds birthday (26th).

February is just a month

March is mine & my brother's birthdays

April is usually Easter & would have been my partner's birthday. Once I have April over can breathe until Christmas which I hate.

A list.
But earlier my DD asked me to tell her the months in order and I became aware I was moving my one hand on top of the other like the hands of a clock. So I think a bit of both.

Like a concertina pop-up book viewed from the front.
