The sooner we all admit this, the better. You're just lying to yourselves if you say otherwise.

The worst are the people who say "oh but if you fry them with bacon and crack cocaine they taste great." No. That is the bacon and drugs being worsened by this green hell.

Let's admit this once and for all.

I agree. However it is the law to eat one with your Christmas dinner to make it nasty.

Pegasussnail · 19/12/2021 22:45

I don't mind them Grin one or two

No I love them. I would have a double helping of sprouts and skip potatoes. I'm really not a big fan of potatoes in any form but I'll have one or two small pieces if there's butter or gravy on them.

Merryoldgoat · 19/12/2021 22:46

I love them.

Shedmistress · 19/12/2021 22:46

No, I love them.

Especially reheated with mash fried up with onions the next day.

RadioSixMusicLover · 19/12/2021 22:46

I love them

earsup · 19/12/2021 22:46

Yuk...vile....never eaten them..disgusting vegetable...should be banned...dont know anyone who likes them.

greensnail · 19/12/2021 22:46

I love them. One of my favourite vegetables, I prefer them just steamed, butter is a nice addition but not essential.

Wilkolampshade · 19/12/2021 22:46

With enough good gravy, yes.

NameChangeinHaste · 19/12/2021 22:46

DS bloody loves them… total weirdo!

scalliondays · 19/12/2021 22:47

My young son loves sprouts. His older sister watches him eating them in horror.

Smerk · 19/12/2021 22:47

I love them. They're like tiny little bite size cabbages. Best when fried or tasted but still good boiled. I don't really like the taste or texture of meat though, so maybe I'm just odd.

Scarby9 · 19/12/2021 22:47

I love them.
Boiled but still firm.
Bit of black pepper.

DixonD · 19/12/2021 22:47

I absolutely love them.

You don’t need fancy stuff; just don’t cook them for longer than 10 or so minutes and they are just lovely. To me anyway. I stole my DH’s off his work Christmas dinner plate last week (we work together and had a very tiny (7 of us) office do!).

Oneborneverydecade · 19/12/2021 22:47

My DH makes me braised brussel sprouts with bacon and blue cheese served with quince jelly. It's delicious and I have it a couple of times a month

Chemenger · 19/12/2021 22:47

I love them. I usually eat a few raw ones while I’m peeling them to cook.

Winterlude · 19/12/2021 22:47

I genuinely like them.

pastabest · 19/12/2021 22:48

I really like them. I even grow my own in my veg patch and they are like delicious little cabbages.

The problem we have culturally is that we don't cook them very well.

sosickofthisshit · 19/12/2021 22:48

They're little green balls of pure evil 🤮

ShesComeUndone · 19/12/2021 22:48

YABU they are one of my favourite vegetables. They are my teenager’s favourite too! I just like them boiled, no need bacon. But you need to remember to cut a cross in the bottom when you cook them.

Selkiesarereal · 19/12/2021 22:48

My weirdo husband loves the evil little things. I point blank refuse to eat them and so do my children. Usually I get them to try whatever it is before declaring it’s yucky but not in this case!

DrDinosaur · 19/12/2021 22:48

I love them. Sprouts, Turkey, cranberry sauce - the heart of Christmas dinner.

ItsReallyOnlyMe · 19/12/2021 22:48

My DS does ! When he was a toddler I used to buy them in summer (imported from Australia) for him.

DixonD · 19/12/2021 22:48

And I adore them microwaved the next day.

The neighbour off the back of our land grows them and has given us several bags full already. Amazing.
