The sooner we all admit this, the better. You're just lying to yourselves if you say otherwise.

The worst are the people who say "oh but if you fry them with bacon and crack cocaine they taste great." No. That is the bacon and drugs being worsened by this green hell.

Let's admit this once and for all.

I absolutely LOVE them!

Used to hate them as a child as dm cooked all veg to the consistency of mashed potato.

it was a revelation to taste them properly cooked. Love them.

Even more of a revelation is to shred them, raw, and use them in coleslaw. It is the only coleslaw I actually enjoy - and shredded raw sprout tastes nothing like the cooked version.

I'll make a big batch of bubble and squeak for Boxing Day and the DC will wolf it down like there's no tomorrow. I don't think they've twigged yet that it contains the sprouts they refuse to eat on Christmas Day

I was that weird child who absolutely loved Brussels sprouts, even boiled to a mushy pulp.

Now I am that weird adult who still loves Brussels sprouts, although I can now cook them better than my mother did.

We had them two nights in a row last week - love 'em. Now parsnips on the other hand.....
