Seriously nobody actually likes sprouts do they

The sooner we all admit this, the better. You're just lying to yourselves if you say otherwise.

The worst are the people who say "oh but if you fry them with bacon and crack cocaine they taste great." No. That is the bacon and drugs being worsened by this green hell.

Let's admit this once and for all.

We roast them here with smoked Paprika, salt, pepper, garlic, and a bit of ground cardamon. They are soooo good.

I had a large bowl of plain boiled sprouts for my supper last week , shared them with the dog and we both loved them

I like them just plain, simple and steamed. People overcook them or reheat them, then they're horrible.
Properly cooked and served fresh they are a delight

Love them, although we've had so many things month that the kids are in revolt now.

I fucking love them, and so does my DH. We have them at least once a month with a roast meal. I am baffled at the poll results. They're lovely, especially with gravy! Me and DH have about 12 each when we have them.

I would usually agree, but they're a massive pregnancy craving for me right now. Why couldn't I just be normal and want a maccas?
They're high in folic acid, which is good so a much healthier craving!

I love sprouts plus they make the best bubble and squeak, far better than cabbage.

As long as not overcooked then I like them. I grow them and they are best after a frost on them. I think that is why they are traditional at this time of year.
But overcooked, no way. Even the chickens won't eat overcooked sprouts.

I genuinely love them.

As a child and teen I was definitely in the 'put one on the plate and choir it down because it's Christmas' camp but now I really don't know why. Societal expectation?! Xmas Wink

I don't like them overdone but boiled so they're still crunchy, they're delicious.

I love sprouts and so does daughter. Husband will only eat them raw. Our son tends to leave them. We had them tonight 😋

Oh I MISREAD the poll results sorry. 90% think the OP is being unreasonable! And 90% of people love sprouts. Sorry. I blame an early start today, and 3 glasses of wine!

Having enough for the sprout gluttons is a problem! We love them.

I always keep a bag in the freezer because although I dont like frozen ones on their own, fresh is always best with sprouts, they are great for making bubble and squeak which DD (10) would eat for every meal if she could. It has to be 50/50 mix of mash and sprouts too, any less than 50% sprouts and she feels very short changed. She is the only kid who you could pick up from school and say "Guess what we are having for dinner" and she wouldnt say pizza/takeaway/maccies.....she'd shout "SPROUTS!" with glee :o

I had a rare half day to myself the other day, DS at work, DH at work for probably the third time since March 23rd 2020.

I cooked myself ten sprouts and slathered them in butter and grated parmesan, OMG I was in heaven.
