The sooner we all admit this, the better. You're just lying to yourselves if you say otherwise.

The worst are the people who say "oh but if you fry them with bacon and crack cocaine they taste great." No. That is the bacon and drugs being worsened by this green hell.

Let's admit this once and for all.

Bloody love them.

I make them by parboiling them first, then putting them in the oven drizzled with maple syrup. They're delicious, I could eat a bowl of them. Sometimes I do.

My old housemate was Malaysian and said they didn't have brussels sprouts back home, so he didn't know what they were or what they were called when I gave him some for Christmas dinner! He took a bite and called them 'tiny, bitter cabbages' and that's always stuck with me haha.

LOVE sprouts! I buy the frozen all year round. I like pretty much every veggie

I think I need to start a thread about the vile tasting cattle fodder vegetable parsnip, which is probably the most disgusting tasting vegetable ever to exist.

Parsnips are god's own vegetable, especially deep fried with honey over.

I do like them. The key is to parboil them, then drain the water and replace with fresh cold water then finish boiling. That gets rid of any bitter taste.
