Speaking to a guy online. Due to meet this weekend. All OK no smut etc. However tonight on text he asked if I think I'd like him. I said you need to like yourself first and he replied I love myself every night with lots of laughing faces. Aibu to give it a miss ?

It was him that was off first, asking if you like him. You hadn’t met yet. It was a bit of an odd response from you but he’s have given me the icky asking that in the first place.

That's the sort of joke you would have when you have known each other a while. Doesn't land that well when you are starting out .

But he wasn’t, you said something super weird and then he made a joke that was. If a bloke sent me a message basically telling me he hoped I had self esteem I’d instantly get the ick.
