She’s 52…!

Tess Daly..had no idea, how amazing does she look for 52, ten years older than me. Just been reading she had her girls later in life too, they just don’t look like an ‘In their 50’s family’ 🤷🏻‍♀️
Are we all living longer nowadays? Is 50 actually the new 40 and 40 the new 30?

Tess looks amazing and seems a lovely person, I’m 51 and wish I looked as good as her.

It's interesting to see Reese Witherspoon (a gorgeous woman) on the Morning Show. She is letting herself age naturally and it's not really a great look but neither is being 50 and trying to look 30 like her Co star Jennifer Aniston.

Bit harsh on Reese! I think she looks great. You decry the the patriarchal crap but seem to have bought into it too.

Arlene Foster clearly does not look after herself and on that picture looks closer to 59.

Does she only host Strictly? Is that her only job? If so, that's a lot of time to focus on what you look like every other day of the week not surprising she looks great 😊

@julieca exactly! I’m not an Arlene fan by any means but it’s part of Tess’s job to look glamorous, definitely not Arlene’s. See also Brad Pitt and Nigel Farage (or maybe being a right wing political tosser does nothing for your looks, who knows)

She looks amazing and always has done. Some of the comments on here are pretty mean. Some people really do look younger than they are. Obviously being rich and famous and having really good bone structure helps, but still. Claudia also looks really good.

I'm going to brag now. I bought some alcohol at a self-service supermarket till about a month or two ago. I was asked for ID. The person who asked was somewhere between 25 and 30. I laughed and said 'well, I'm 52 so no I don't have any' and she had a proper look at me and then apologised and said 'sorry, I thought you were young'. I said 'don't apologise, I am made up you thought I was that young for even one second!'

Obviously she realised when she looked and I absolutely do not look as young as that but I was delighted! So um, brag brag. Probably the face mask helped to disguise but still.

Anyway, brag over. I think both Tess and Claudia look fantastic for their ages actually. Claudia way more stylish but Tess is more youthful looking.

Fortunately you don't lose it all. Its a fairly slow and gradual process. And not everyone loses it at the same rate or with the same impact on their skin. Diet, lifestyle and genetics make it different for everyone. Which is why you can't make sweeping generalisations about what woman look like at a certain age. The stranger on the train who you think is in her 40s may well be over 50.

I think it's pointless comparing slebs with your average woman.

People like Tess are reliant on their looks for their work- she's not exactly offering anything else.

She will have had every bit of help available- fillers, Botox, Ultherapy, the best make up artists, you name it.

There are plenty of women who are her age who'd look great with that amount of input.

Arlene Foster - Lawyer, first female First Minister of NI (elected unopposed), First Leader of the DUP.

Doesn't matter if you don't agree with her politics but an impressive career.

Tess Daly ... looks amazing, on the telly on Saturday and Sunday night for a few weeks a year.

Not much common ground there at all. I'd much rather my teens had Arlene Foster as a role model. Or Jessica Ennis or another strong female role model.

I'm not a TD hater, she does look great but I don't admire her for it.

@5128gap the idea of aging has clearly hit a nerve for you. If you cannot except that a 50year old woman is not youthful then there is nothing anyone can say. It's a shame that you are so hung up on it.

I am not criticising Arlene. I am saying she looks like a woman of her age.
Tess does look younger than she is.

Why are people comparing Tess who is effectively paid to look good with Arlene Foster, a politician who, by most people’s standards, has had a very tough life with a career not in any way based on her looks.

@Noavocado who are you using as a standard 51 year old woman you are comparing Arlene to? She looks her age, not older - some 51 year olds look older, not younger - some 51 year olds look younger. She is pretty much in the middle.

Its not aging that hits a nerve, its ageism. But no, you're right, I don't accept the idea a 50 year old woman can't be youthful, how could i with women like Tess Daly to prove otherwise?

Tess looks beautiful, but she’s got expensive make up on probably has fillers Botox etc, best hairdressers etc etc you can’t compare a slab with the average person, they don’t have millions in the bank, but yes she’s gawjus

That's the reason Tess Daly is on the telly in the first place... she's eye candy and lovely to look at.
Okay, there is nothing wrong with AF at all but she certainly wasn't in the front row when beauty was being dished out.

This is about TD looking superb at aged 52. Not AF and how she is a good role model etc despite being the same age as Tess.
