She’s 52…!

Tess Daly..had no idea, how amazing does she look for 52, ten years older than me. Just been reading she had her girls later in life too, they just don’t look like an ‘In their 50’s family’ 🤷🏻‍♀️
Are we all living longer nowadays? Is 50 actually the new 40 and 40 the new 30?

@Doesntfeellikehalloween fair enough. I don’t really watch Strictly much. When I do, she seems insincere and dead behind the eyes but I may be doing her a disservice.

I think the average 52 year old is much less likely though to have all the faffing about a celebrity will have. So hairpieces/wigs, professional make up artists, personal trainers and nutritionists and all the rest of it. So they’re likely to look better.

Either way, I am younger than her and look much, much older!

I think she looks great and yes looks her age but in a polished celebrity way. So many stars that age who look amazing. She maybe had surgery or work done. But she was naturally beautiful and must work hard to keep herself in shape. I say good for her!

It's interesting to see Reese Witherspoon (a gorgeous woman) on the Morning Show. She is letting herself age naturally and it's not really a great look but neither is being 50 and trying to look 30 like her Co star Jennifer Aniston.

Ah and men don't need to try nearly so hard. The joys of living in a patriarchal society.

Her age is relevant because society uses it as a benchmark... mainly for women. Also it's very obvious when a woman gets to 50ish menopause age. No filler or botox can add that youthful skin gleam. As women age their face and neck are an immediate give away.

It always amuses me when people say this. How on earth would you know that every gleaming youthful looking stranger you see is under 50?

She's beautiful. She has always been beautiful.

Lots of beautiful women are in their forties and fifties and even beyond that.

@ZenNudist I'm glad you are brave enough to say that sometimes aging naturally is not always a great look.
People on here always slag off botox etc but if it enhances surely it can only be a good thing. I started having botox yearly at 38 and if done correctly it looks great.

tess was gorgeous anyway but its obvious she has had botox and fillers.

@5128gap you have just answered your own question. 50 is not youthful and with the loss of collagen a 50year old cannot look youthful. They can be attractive for their mature age but not youthful.

I’m the same age as Tess and have never looked as good as her. I’m younger than Kylie but older than Arlene Foster (til last yr leader of the DUP), same age as Nicola Sturgeon. Everyone looks different, huh?

I keep getting those ads pop up with her floggin menopause supplements, so knew she was around that.

She's really called Helen, you know. Tess is her middle name. Being called Helen would put her firmly in the 48-54 age range; it's a name that is very time-specific, like Alison or Joanne.

Tess is an ambassador for a non-surgical facelift company (it was on Twitter so must be true). She looks amazing but it's her job to look amazing. I am the same age
But can just about afford aldi moisturiser!

I'm the same age as Tess, I imagine it is easier to look good when you are operating in her world.

In my world my alarm goes off at 5:34am and I don't sit down until 8pm. Single parent, professional job.

Gym membership I struggle to use Mon-Fri because I'm at work or knackered.

She has stylists, time generally, but to invest in her health/appearance/help etc., etc..

Not saying that she doesn't look good - she does, but I reckon a lot of us would look good with her means/work-life balance.

on a side note my sil is the spit of reece's pieces.

I had to look her up, I wasn't sure who she was. But I'm 44 and she definitely looks older than I do. 48-49 maybe?

We are 51 and 56 respectively.

I didn't look as good as she does now when I was 21. Apologies but I struggle to be surprised that a stunning women, with plenty of money, looks younger.

It's not just the genes it's the money as well. I saw a picture of Cheryl (formally known as cole) cousin, you could see that she was very pretty but the lack of money stopped her from being gorgeous
