She’s 52…!

Tess Daly..had no idea, how amazing does she look for 52, ten years older than me. Just been reading she had her girls later in life too, they just don’t look like an ‘In their 50’s family’ 🤷🏻‍♀️
Are we all living longer nowadays? Is 50 actually the new 40 and 40 the new 30?

I think she has a bit of work done but more like fillers rather than full on surgery. She's got great legs.

She looks very healthy for her age. I personally wouldn't say she has youthful skin just well looked after. I'd think 46

She has great genes, she was a model by the time she was 18. But like pretty much everyone on tv, she will have had a bit of work to preserve the youthful looks.

I like Claudia too. I like that the biggest show on a Saturday night is being presented by two women.

I love Tess as she seems a bit quieter rather than the usual annoying extroverts on TV.

I do however, find it REALLY insulting when people say, “she looks good for 50 (or insert whatever age you like)”.
Why not just say she looks good.
By saying she looks good for 50 it either implies she doesn’t look good compared to a young person but is ok considering how old she is; or else it implies most 50 year olds look unattractive but Tess looks ok.

I'm shocked she's 52. I thought she was 42-45. I like both her and Claudia - they work well together

I think she looks amazing for over 50, she’s a beautiful woman with has fantastic genes! Though the personal trainer, chef, make up artists etc probably help a bit too!

You seem to think people over 50 can’t look amazing. I am 50, I don’t look like Tess but I think I look good.

Her age is relevant because society uses it as a benchmark... mainly for women. Also it's very obvious when a woman gets to 50ish menopause age. No filler or botox can add that youthful skin gleam. As women age their face and neck are an immediate give away.

I've just looked at her Instagram for current photos and obviously she is very attractive but I don't think surprising she is 52. I'm approaching mid 40s and she looks older than me and my friends (although definitely more glamorous!) Late 40s would have been my youngest guess.

I'm exactly her age and truthfully, though she is way more beautiful than me, I don't look any older. Nor do a lot if my friends. So yes, I think 50s probably does look a lot younger than people think it does, and some of the women you see out and about are a lot older than you think.

She had her girls in 2004 and 2009 so hardly later in life.
She does look good for her age but I don’t think she looks much younger. She clearly has a great stylist, hair dresser and colourist and looks after herself but then with around 3 million in the bank she can probably afford plenty of spa days.

I am not a fan. I am definitely Team Claud. But Tess is stunning and I agree with the pp - she is increasingly beautifully dressed for Strictly. I think she is particularly stunning in a jumpsuit type thing. I am bemused by her success as a prime time presenter though. It shouldn’t be just about looking good.

Same age as Jennifer Lopez, both look amazing. Stick me next to that pair and I'm sure I'd look about 99, despite my dc telling me I look young.

@Proudboomer I meant a little older as she had the second at 40, I had my Dd at that age and didn’t look like that even ten years ago 🤣

@SergeiL Tbf, I haven’t ever seen on anything else? I can’t really say if she’s a good presenter or not…fairly inoffensive, slightly bland 😬but not necessarily bad

I think she looks about 45 but she's amazingly good looking and photogenic, as you'd expect for a model.

She's genetically blessed with a great figure, height, bone structure, teeth, hair, smile, the lot.

I also think she seems like a pretty nice person too and although not a natural presenter, she's engaging and energetic and a pleasure to look at.

Life expectancy has fallen in the UK, so no we are not all living longer.

And no your average 52-year-old does not look like Tess Daly.

She is a very beautiful woman but I wouldn't say she was surprisingly young looking. I'm 50 and while nowhere near as beautiful I have fewer wrinkles without any botox.

@julieca except in MNs world where everyone looks much younger than Tess, is as thin as Kate Middleton but eat what they want & has children who are stunning & 6ft tall 😆
