@DoraMaude
I'm in my late 50s. When I was in my early 50s I looked like I was in my 40s. I now look my age. In my experience up until about 54/55 women can look years younger, but then it suddenly catches up with you.
Tess does look great.
I do agree. But I would say age catches up with people by 47-50 rather than 55. I have seen a 45 y.o. look 38-39, and then by 47, they
look 47-50. So they seem to age 10 years in a couple of years.
I have not seen ONE person past their early 50s who looks younger. In fact everyone looks their age within about 5 years. It's a fact that people look their age. People in their 60s look like people in their 60s, and people in their 70s look like people in their 70s, and so on and so on...
Why would they not? And what on earth is wrong with it? Why are people (especially women) so desperate to insist everyone thinks they look sooooooo young?
And who are all these people saying these mumsnet women look so young, and why are they even saying it? Why are you telling them your age? It's so bizarre.
I have lived in my current home for 10 years, and met/spoke to about 150 different people in the area in that time. Not ONCE has anyone asked my age.
So who are all these people, asking the ever-youthful mumsnetters who look a generation younger (apparently,) than their age??? And why are they asking? Or do you volunteer your age, hoping someone will say 'ooooh, but you look so YOUNGGGGGGGGG!'
