Christmas

Am I being unreasonable to think that it is really no one elses business who Boris Johnson and his family spent Christmas with.

So maybe he did break the rules, but he had been working so hard and the rules kept changing, it is hardly unreasonable that he had some time with friends to relax is it?

Actually I do care, because no one gives a fuck how many people his government have killed, how corrupt they are, but given that yet another one and this time the prime minister has broken the rules that a lot of people followed, might be the straw that breaks the public backs.

sigh but I doubt it

jgw1 · 19/10/2021 13:36

*Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Johnson. Working hard.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha*

You really think one can be Prime Minister and be lazy?
The mind boggles.

Ah Boris, you poor bugger. I do feel sorry for you. What a year you've had!

I think you should treat yourself and the missus to a 5 star all inclusive on Mars. Don't bother coming back. We'll all be here, clearing up the huge mess you've made. No need to thank us.

People care that Boris led us from the wastelands of the European Union and got Brexit done, after all the messing around before he was our Prime Minister. We are once again a sovereign nation free to decide our own destiny away from the shackles of the EU.

DrBlackbird · 19/10/2021 13:45

… due to the Europeans not agreeing until the last moment the new rules there was a very real possibility of empty shelves and petrol stations. Boris moved heaven and earth to make sure that did not happen

😂 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Oh I really needed that laugh, I really did. Thanks so much.

Yes of course dear. He has managed to do that by having the highest death rate of Europe, the most fucked up economy in Europe. Our new special visas is a good laughing point.

But lets not forget our trade deal with Lichestinstein.

Dazedandconfused28 · 19/10/2021 13:47

My friend missed her final Christmas with her Mum because of rules the government set. To see Boris blithely break lockdown means my friend will now question why she bothered.

This is why it matters.

tara66 · 19/10/2021 13:51

Op - have you ever been to the ''wastelands'' of EU? You don't think N.Ireland will integrate with Ireland, Scotland will leave Union and then Wales will leave little England too - possibly within the next 5 -10 years? Which will partly (mostly) have been triggered by the inaccuracies told selling Brexit to the masses by Alexander?

99victoria · 19/10/2021 13:52

This is sooooo obviously a wind-up :)

Gimlisaxe · 19/10/2021 13:53

But I am really bored and trying to forget that I need to do the washing up

I have indeed, I spent Easter in Brussels once, the heartland of the EU, there was no one there. Good riddance.

Take a leaf out of Boris' book. Leave the problem for as long as possible in the hope that it will become someone elses.

It’s hardly a surprise.
Boris has never made any secret of his contempt for ordinary people. Clearly the rules don’t apply to someone as important as him.
(Let’s not forget HM Queen sat alone at her husbands funeral, in total accord with the rules)
Boris is a total embarrassment, a waste of space and a terrible excuse as a human being, far less as an elected leader.

I tried that but the butler is on holiday and the scullery maid is busy plucking the fowl for dinner
Alwaystheplusone · 19/10/2021 14:05

Of course it’s our business. He imposed rules on us that he wasn’t prepared to keep. Are you Carrie?

Twolostsoulsswimminginafishbow · 19/10/2021 14:05

This must be a piss take. Why the fuck should the rules not apply to him? He should lead my example but I really don’t expect anything else from him and his cronies.

jellybe · 19/10/2021 14:14

@jgw1

I just don't understand, he was leading the country in a time of crisis, he maybe wont even have been able to spend the whole day with his young family due to the amount of work he has to do, and apparently it is headline news that he had a few friends round 10months ago. Seriously is this what we have come to?
😂😂😂😂 what a joke. Once again it was one rule for us and another for him.

Of course it is our business, are covid levels wouldn't be the shit show they are if he's lead from the get go. His incompetence and promises lead to 'Christmas being cancelled' but it wasn't fir him as he works so hard 🤔

If you want an illustration of how hard he works, he didn't even know who had paid for the wallpaper in his flat.

Oh bless.
I met a woman at a hobby last week. She was telling me how she followed the rules. Her elderly Mum spent Christmas on her own. It was her last Christmas cos she died in February.
I think that sets the tone and context.

skodadoda · 19/10/2021 14:38

We could all have used that excuse OP

LagunaBubbles · 19/10/2021 14:38

You're on the wind up aren't you?

TBF they could have had a support bubble, couldn't they? My household bubbled at Christmas with a friend who lives alone.

What a load of crap.
