Christmas

Am I being unreasonable to think that it is really no one elses business who Boris Johnson and his family spent Christmas with.

So maybe he did break the rules, but he had been working so hard and the rules kept changing, it is hardly unreasonable that he had some time with friends to relax is it?

OP posts:
Lonelybrit · 19/10/2021 09:58

Has this been reported recently? What an absolute piss take! How can you defend him OP? People (including me!) abided by the rules for fear of catching covid/retribution & he has friends over!?!? Angry

Peanut82 · 19/10/2021 10:09

My MIL spent last Christmas all alone 70 miles away, meanwhile Boris does whatever he likes whilst expecting everyone to stick to the rules?
His government set the rules so of course they should abide by them!! Why is it ok for them and not us mere mortals?
We all worked hard, I worked 12 hour shifts on a covid ward praying I didn't take it home to my family! I really don't see how you can have any sympathy OP?

VladmirsPoutine · 19/10/2021 10:12

I find it hilarious that the press have basically implied Nimco Ali was pretty much there as the help Grin Oh for shame!

Pieceofpurplesky · 19/10/2021 10:16

OP you can really see no wrong in this? Take the Boris blinkers off

IfImLyingImDying · 19/10/2021 10:17

Working so hard 😂

I’ve been working with COVID patients PPE’d up to the eyeballs (when it was available) 5-6 days a week, 12 hours each day all the way through.

Bozo can cry me and my colleagues a fucking river.

ilovesooty · 19/10/2021 10:18

He had been working so hard
Oh give over.

He set the fucking rules. He should have abided by them. However we know the lying, hypocritical bastard thinks rules are for other people, not for him, and people like the OP think that's fine.

IfImLyingImDying · 19/10/2021 10:21

And no there wasn’t much of Christmas for me. I worked hard. I should’ve broken the rules

Peanut82 · 19/10/2021 10:22

This!!! 12 hour shifts in PPE was no fun. Absolute middle finger to NHS staff from Boris.
sashh · 19/10/2021 10:24

@Pbbananabagel

So… I didn’t see my family for 9 months including Christmas and my SIL spent the day by HERSELF despite none of us being on furlough and working the whole way through…but it’s ok for Boris Johnson to have a nice family Christmas?
My dad was on his own too, he's in his 80s and it was the first time he'd been alone.
OddsNSodsBitsNBobs · 19/10/2021 10:29

OP, I assumed your first post was tounge in cheek. I'm not so sure about your second...

I lost my DM 2 days before Lockdown 1, I lost my job too. I had a annus horribilis but I stuck to the rules, no one is more important than anyone else. Lead by example.

toocold54 · 19/10/2021 10:36

Is that you Boris?

ElBandito · 19/10/2021 10:38

I love the way your op excuses him partly because 'the rules kept changing', he literally read the rules out to us, live, on tv 😂

AnkleDeep · 19/10/2021 10:38

He's a selfish cunt who has always believed that rules are for other people.

Tilltheend99 · 19/10/2021 10:45

I assume you are taking the mic as he is in charge of the rules, and he’s fairly useless so the phrase ‘working hard’ is going a bit far. And possible corruption in public life is never acceptable even if you think the person has a jolly/goofy persona.

Lotusmonster · 19/10/2021 10:45

Stop teasing cos you’re bored.

Lotusmonster · 19/10/2021 10:46

@toocold54

Is that you Boris?
It might be Carrie?
Tilltheend99 · 19/10/2021 10:47

Yes, and lets never forget that at one point nurses were wearing bin bags.

CaptainThe95thRifles · 19/10/2021 10:48

working so hard and leading the country in a time of crisis are somewhat comical given how appallingly he's done his job during covid...

BIWI · 19/10/2021 10:49

I don't think he could lead a horse to water, never mind run the country.

Stop using social media for your news and read a decent paper @jgw1 then perhaps you might see just how ludicrous your OP is.

IfImLyingImDying · 19/10/2021 10:50

Did you not enjoy your clap though @Peanut82?! And don’t forget your pay rise! Are you breaking even or just worse off? I don’t know a single person at my Trust that actually got a rise in pay.

ChorizoJacketPotato · 19/10/2021 10:50

Are you fricken kidding me?

I cried for 2 days over Christmas. We had the shittiest year ever and then he took Christmas away from all of us, we had plans to stay at my mums for two nights, and we were all alone. But it’s ok for him to do whatever he likes? Hmm

Tal45 · 19/10/2021 10:53

You're right, I can't think of any reason why the Prime minister should have to follow the rules that he imposed on the rest of the population......oh wait...

Tilltheend99 · 19/10/2021 10:57

Still think this is a wind up but if not actually look into how many holidays BJ goes on. He’s in no way hard done by. Your view is disrespectful to anyone who lost a family member and to all those who now have life long complications.

Peanut82 · 19/10/2021 10:58

Pay rise? What's that 😂 I don't know anyone who's better off neither. The clapping is all well and good but what did it achieve? If Boris really cared about the NHS and it's staff he'd have given an actual pay rise and provided PPE to those of us on the frontline.

,,,,Hmm is this Matt Hancock?
