How would you take this?

I’ve recently given birth to a beautiful baby girl. Throughout the pregnancy sex was actually non-existent.

Since having the baby DH has wanted it non-stop.

We were giggling and messing around today and I said “I’ve got my stallion back” he turned around and said “well yeah I’ve got nothing to release into now.”

How would you take this statement? I’m just so disgusted and told him what I thought he was implying by that statement but think I’m being gaslighted as he says I’m over reacting and it doesn’t mean what I think.

What would that statement imply to you?

OP posts:

@WhatAPickledOnion

Assumed he has a mistress obviously that’s why I’m asking on here as I’m prone to jumping to conclusions.

I’ve got a locksmith booked for tomorrow while he’s in work.

Oh come on OP, you've jumped the shark a tad now.
CherryAndAlmond · 03/10/2021 17:49

Please don't change the locks over this!! You can't be serious?
Talk to him! We know what you've assumed, but what does he say he meant?

ghostyslovesheets · 03/10/2021 17:50

do you understand the phrase 'jumped the shark' OP?

I mean 'what does this mean?' to 'locksmith' in little over a hour?

5BlackDoors · 03/10/2021 17:50

@MadamMedea

Perhaps rather than a locksmith you could try a conversation…?
tbh if the OP is this distrusting and if the communications are this bad they should both cut their losses and move on. Shame there is now a baby involved though.

If this is remotely true, you need mental help on your issues. Feel sorry for your DH tbf
Chinosss · 03/10/2021 17:50

Lol oh dear

Mermaidwaves · 03/10/2021 17:51

He could mean you've got a loose fanny which is disgusting and crass to the mother of his child who's just given birth Hmm, it could also mean he wont be wanking as much now. Either way it was a crappy thing for him to say and probably totally ruined the mood. He needs to apologise I think.

EverythingsPeachy · 03/10/2021 17:51

Rather than have a grown up conversation you have booked a locksmith, I assume, to lock your husband out?

OP you need to stop babbling nonsense to each other and start having normal conversations. Hopefully they do not include stallions, slags and rent a vagina 🤢. The whole situation here is grim start to finish to be honest.

VladmirsPoutine · 03/10/2021 17:51

You can't be serious. Changing the locks, are you going to throw his things out of the window and have an Eastenders style shouting match when he gets home whilst he's standing outside and you're sobbing inside clutching the baby and yelling "YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO LUV ME, YOU WERE!!."

JasonMomoasgirlfriend · 03/10/2021 17:52

I honestly don't understand his statement.
It would make sense if he said "I've got something to release into now" which is disgusting but at least it makes sense.

NamechangeApril21 · 03/10/2021 17:52

I would take it that because the baby isn't there any more he feels like he can have sex with you again, he won't be poking the baby (or whatever ridiculously notion he had). It's completely cringe though.

No idea how you've drawn your conclusion, unless you have relationship issues outside of this (frankly weird) comment.

Jumped the shark there ...

But I mean, if you did do this, he has dodged one hell of a bullet.

Bloodypunkrockers · 03/10/2021 17:52

@Somuddled

You have used some really horrible language to refer to women here OP. You need to have a think about that.

As for his comment, it's really obvious that he ment the baby. He felt odd about pregnancy sex and so wasn't keen on it, now that baby is out he now feels OK with sex again.

Is it obvious?
toocold54 · 03/10/2021 17:53

I think it is a good idea to break up. Both of you are obviously not happy and it seems you don’t even speak to each other.

Maybe you could give him a heads up tonight so he has a few hours to find somewhere to live from tomorrow. It’s not fair that you are making your child’s father homeless without any notice.

TooBigForMyBoots · 03/10/2021 17:53

Oh my!

Redglitter · 03/10/2021 17:53

I’ve not got anything to release into anymore” I’m implying I’ve called it off with my mistress now you’re no longer pregnant that’s why my sex drive is so high with you

Good grief thats some leap

I’ve got a locksmith booked for tomorrow while he’s in work

Please say this is a joke. Ffs you are seriously over reacting. So you've got a brand new baby and you're planning on ending your marriage over your (mis)interpretation of a comment he made.

Get a bloody grip & act like an adult

thelastgoldeneagle · 03/10/2021 17:53

WTAF? You jump straight to assuming he was shagging someone else when you're pregnant?? Then you call a locksmith, without talking to him like an adult?

Well, yes. You are needy and high maintenance. And Vvv U.

Loveshelly · 03/10/2021 17:53

This thread is totally mad! In a funny way

FourteenSixteenTwentyTwo · 03/10/2021 17:55

Do you have some reason to assume he was sleeping with another woman? Has he done it in the past? Have you had a bad track record with cheaters in the past? I just can’t see why you’d assume that unless your trust was already broken.

toocold54 · 03/10/2021 17:55

Would it be better if you moved out while you sorted your issues out?
And he can stay in the home with the baby.

LetHimHaveIt · 03/10/2021 17:55

Btw - 'jumped the shark' doesn't mean 'jumped to a wildly erroneous conclusion' . . .

DoYouLikeOwls · 03/10/2021 17:55

Poor child.

TheChip · 03/10/2021 17:55

😂 Good luck little one
