I didn’t have to cook today as my lot went to the beach so I’ve just sat and eaten two Wispas,a Twix and a Snickers. I don’t feel so good now

SoMuchToBits · 19/09/2021 22:38

Dinner this evening was Spetzofai - Greek dish involving sausages, red onion, peppers, garlic, tomatoes, red wine etc. Lovely! Will be eating the rest of it tomorrow evening after work.

Rabbitheadlights · 19/09/2021 22:40

Tonight - risotto with yesterday's roast chicken, lemon, thyme & pancetta. Adaption of an old Nigel Slater recipe

BleshRed · 19/09/2021 22:46

Bangers and tatties with red cabbage and gravy

BasicDad · 19/09/2021 22:48

Picky tea 🙂

BigcatLittlecat · 19/09/2021 22:49

Steak, chips, peas and coleslaw!

Ohdofuckofdear · 19/09/2021 22:50

Tonight we had lamb shanks in minted gravy(wanted to get a leg of lamb but none available)with mashed potatoes, savoy cabbage, roast potatoes, carrots and Yorkshire puddings and it was bloody delicious.

For desert we had chocolate and salted caramel melt in the middle cakes served with cream.

Sarahlou63 · 19/09/2021 22:50

Uovo in raviolo (ravioli with a spinach/cream cheese/parmesan mousse 'nest' to protect the yolk filling) with a lemon egg chicken broth. Very rich and filling but is very faffy and nerve-wracking to make and is gone in seconds.

Still, I now have masses of egg whites so a good excuse to make lots of chocolate mousses. Meece. Grin

EspressoDoubleShot · 19/09/2021 22:53

I’m of course watching closely for the classics
Heaps of veggies
Mountains of salad
And the mn chicken that feeds 4 for 3 days with leftover for soup, risotto and sandwiches

EspressoDoubleShot · 19/09/2021 22:54

EspressoDoubleShot · 19/09/2021 22:55

BookShark · 19/09/2021 22:56

Roast chicken - with roast potatoes, pigs in blankets, stuffing, broccoli, carrots, gravy and bread sauce.
We like sitting at the table for a Sunday roast - other nights involve less washing up!

SuperLoudPoppingAction · 19/09/2021 22:56

Dd cooked this

www.gousto.co.uk/cookbook/pork-recipes/sticky-chinese-pork-chops-sesame-pak-choi

Apart from dp and I had 'improper burgers' from tesco which were a good substitute for pork

avamiah · 19/09/2021 22:58

I wasn’t very hungry and my DD was at her aunties so I had smoked salmon which I bought from Tesco earlier for £3.50 and crackers and Philadelphia and a Diet Coke and packet of salt n vinegar squares .
Very nice.

Allthebubbles · 19/09/2021 22:58

Butternut squash, sage, cream lardons and Parmesan sauce on fresh tagliatelle. We didn't have enough Parmesan so it was all a bit sweet.

BookShark · 19/09/2021 22:58

To balance, yesterday was burgers, chips and coleslaw in front of Strictly. I think it'll be a while before we have Saturday tea at the table rather than in front of the TV...

I had yogurt and homemade granola as wasn't hungry, but have made a Jamie Oliver fish pie for tomorrow night and can't wait.

DC had chicken goujons, tender stem and garlic bread as I'm clearing out the freezer.

ElephantOfRisk · 19/09/2021 23:00

We had burgers fried onions, chips and salad yesterday
Today I did a slow roast lamb leg with dauphinious potatoes and green beans and carrots
Tomorrow its butter chicken, rice and flatbreads
Tuesday DH is getting some root canal work done so I'm going to do some pasta with Italian sausage
Wednesday quiche, wedges and broccoli
Thursday, chilli stuffed soft tortillas with rice and corn on the cob
Friday Cod something, not decided yet.

hollyhocksarenotmessy · 19/09/2021 23:04

Homemade roasted squash and tomato soup, with bread and butter.

Not a usual dinner but wanted to use up the veg.it was bloody lovely much to my surprise.

I did have a bar of Cadbury caramel after.

DeepaBeesKit · 19/09/2021 23:04

Roast chicken so we'll be living off what's left on the carcass til October.😁

EspressoDoubleShot · 19/09/2021 23:08

Only October?can you not eke it out til November
Use the carcass as a Halloween lantern
