I'm running out of meal ideas and I am sick of the same things!

Drop your teas!

Gnocchi with chorizo and mozzarella- yummy 🍝

Tiramiwho · 29/09/2021 22:59

Wasn't very hungry after the gym, so ate cooked spinach with baby plum tomatoes followed by a bowl of cornflakes with hot milk

DilemmaDelilah · 30/09/2021 19:00

Just worked a very stressful 10 hour day plus leaping up and down stairs with cups of tea/soup/Lemsip for poorly OH so we had fish and chips delivered. Got them from a place we hadn't tried before which was a mistake as they were not at all nice. Very disappointed.

longwayoff · 30/09/2021 19:26

Shamefully, I had 4 toasted waffles with a spoonful of morello cherry jam on each. I should know better. I do know better. Nevertheless, it was just the thing for tonight.

Onlinedilema · 30/09/2021 19:28

Beef stir fry made by dh.

BeyondMyWits · 30/09/2021 19:31

Butter chicken with a Sharwoods' sauce... a bit disappointing, but the rice and nan came out nice, so not too bad. Followed by an ORANGE filled wagon wheel... who knew... yummy!

GoingOutOutNEVER · 30/09/2021 19:39

mbosnz · 30/09/2021 19:41

I'm not making it, but we're having venison bulgogi, with rice and steamed asian greens.

RampantIvy · 30/09/2021 19:43

Turkish courgette fritters and salad

HaudYerWheeshtYaWeeBellend · 30/09/2021 19:43

I’ve made a pasta with left over fridge ingredients that needed using up.

Basic pasta sauce, onion, garlic, white wine (half bottle and needed using) veg stock, Italian herbs and single cream... added pork mince, cavolo nero, (boiled and blended, broccoli and cauliflower) and added baby mushrooms, lastly added some dried sage and onion mix... boiled pasta.

I haven’t eaten any as not hungry however apparently it’s my boys new favourite Grin

SmellyOldOwls · 30/09/2021 19:44

I've done a yummy leek and potato soup with homemade chicken stock cos I'm such a MN cliché

We'll have it with a part baked roll, crab salad and a selection of fine cheeses

lazylinguist · 30/09/2021 19:46

Nigel Slater's Coq au Riesling, minus the mushroomsdue to fussy children Angry. A bit indulgent for midweek dinner, but delicious!

Chicchicchicchiclana · 30/09/2021 19:47

Seriallover · 30/09/2021 19:48

Dh out so have ordered myself a kebab. 😋

Scarlettpixie · 30/09/2021 19:50

We had pasta (linguine).

I made a sauce with:
1/2 pepper, 3/4 tub mushrooms, 1/2 courgette, 1 onion, 3 cloves garlic, passata, green pesto (vegan), a stock cube a good splash of water and half a tsp chilli flakes.

It’s lovely 😊

SirChenjins · 30/09/2021 19:54

Frittata made with chorizo, onion, potato, sweetcorn, courgette, broccoli and pepper which we had with salad

Whosthebestbabainalltheworld · 30/09/2021 19:55

Coddle - a family favourite.

inappropriateraspberry · 30/09/2021 19:57

Tonight was Greek garlic chicken/quorn and potatoes with sautéed lemon spinach.
Last night we had spicy fried sausage and pepper with rice.
Am trying out Mealime - a meal planner app. Quite American, but good to try some different meals. You can make a meal plan and it will give you a shopping list. Really simple.

Booboosweet · 30/09/2021 20:13

Grilled salmon, steamed baby potatoes and peas and carrots with a dollop of mayonnaise.

wingsandstrings · 30/09/2021 20:21

Yesterday: roast duck (whole Gressingham duck reduced at Sainsburys, good value for money), mash, green beans. Delish, except DH allowed the duck-fat to spit all over the oven so I'm going to have to clean it.

Today: pasta with a tomato and bacon sauce, topped with parmesan, with avocado on the side. Very quick and tasty.
