And it's not after a relative, she just likes it. Is this it for us over 40s? Are there going to be loads of little Lynns and Sharons running round soon?

What other names are we about to see!?

oh dear, I'm a late 80s baby I wonder when Rebecca, Amy and Laura will be making comebacks x

BananaMilkshakeWithCream · 29/08/2021 11:46

Oi @PasstheBucket89 one of those names is mine!!! Although to be fair I’m an eighties name

MyFloorIsLava · 29/08/2021 11:46

I think Rebecca, Amy and Laura are lovely names Blush (I'm 40)

BananaMilkshakeWithCream · 29/08/2021 11:46

*baby

WhenZoomWasJustAnIceLolly · 29/08/2021 11:46

My kids think Linda and Sylvia are nice names for their future children

BananaMilkshakeWithCream · 29/08/2021 11:46

Thanks @MyFloorIsLava

MrsHuntGeneNotJeremyObviously · 29/08/2021 11:47

I think Lynne is really pretty, and Sharon and Tracey. I'd like to see them come back.

Thighdentitycrisis · 29/08/2021 11:48

Sarah? I think is lovely, it was very popular when in my age group

GrumpyMiddleAgedWoman · 29/08/2021 11:49

I'm awaiting babies called Carol, Susan, Richard and Simon.

Robert is ready having a bit of a resurgence around here.

OhSmellyCatSmellyCat · 29/08/2021 11:49

I know a few Eric's, what about Kevin though, the world needs more Kevin's

Seeline · 29/08/2021 11:50

I'm over 50 and haven't heard of any little Amandas, Tracey's or Wayne's as of yet.

Both my late teen DCs had Rebecca's and Amy's in their classes though so not sure if they ever went out of common usage?

PieceOfString · 29/08/2021 11:52

Michelle, urgh I hate that name, so many 70's parents chose that name and raised a horror child.

Fernando072020 · 29/08/2021 11:52

Oh I didn't realise Amy went out! My cousin's half sibling is called Amy - she's 2

Disfordarkchocolate · 29/08/2021 11:52

I think Joanne is a lovely name. I'd like to see Jacqueline revived.

brazenandstrange · 29/08/2021 11:52

Carol and Jean?

x2boys · 29/08/2021 11:53

Some names should never make a comeback imo, imagine giving birth to a beautiful baby boy and lovingly calling them Derek.

CoRhona · 29/08/2021 11:53

I work in a school - Amy definitely not uncommon and Rebecca and Laura are still popular!

Sparklfairy · 29/08/2021 11:54

Nice to see my name being complimented here Grin

maddiemookins16mum · 29/08/2021 11:54

Jane, Hazel and Ruth…..all born this year in our Church family to daughters of parents born in the 60s.

EverybodyIsInteresting · 29/08/2021 11:55

Sharon, in my accent, sounds like the local dialect word for shit. Which is a shame as I know a couple of lovely Sharons, but I hate saying their name as it sounds like I'm saying something awful.

I love the names Rebecca and Amy, and I don't mind Joanne at all.

Not a fan of Tracy or Laura, but that is down to people I was in school with.

I'm waiting to see if my name pops up in this thread.
