I had to unfollow him on Instagram because he posts "garden updates" that are supposed to be funny but he calls all his flowers things like sluts, slags, saying "they're gagging for it" etc. Never uses derogatory words for men or gay men or trans people though

I posted about his misogynistic ways on GBSB on the tv and films thread. I was shot down. He obviously isn't so bad on the show but the dislike of obviously older women seeps through

When you read the actual context it's clear he is being sarcastic in that final tweet.

So is he lacking the brain to make a joke without punching down on women along the way? Would you feel the same if his sharp commentary on consumerist society was peppered with racist and disablist comments instead of misogyny?

As I said up thread - anyone can do stupid things and if they apologise, change then so be it. They should get the chance to reset. However when they consistently post misogynistic tropes I will continue to assume they are a misogynist and treat them accordingly.

And I mean jokes with women being hurt as a punchline is hardly uncommon so whatever really.

I don't find that punchline funny but loads do (usually men IME).
