My life rules

Things life has taught me

  1. Never never never eat white bread, or feed it to children, it just changes to sugar in your body, it is poison!
  1. Never never never support slave based industry, eg cannabis, clothing made with child labour, UNNESSESARY TECH UPGRADES, like replacing perfectly good working phones for no reason
  1. I'm sure I will think of more. Not much point in going into the environmental ones, like limit meat and diary, and never eat fish, don't drink bottled water etc, much debated elsewhere on Mumsnet

What are yours?

@54321nought if you don't do white bread, with what would you make a chip and cheese butty or a mash potato sandwich?

Ostagazuzulum · 14/08/2021 05:17

I'm a few hours I expect to be sat at my breakfast bar, wearing my primarni pjs, eating French toast made from white bread whilst waiting for delivery of my new iPhone for no reason other than I fancied an upgrade.

My life rules
Be legal
Be safe
Don't judge individual choices
Do what right does you but don't

Ostagazuzulum · 14/08/2021 05:18

The last bit is do what's right for you but don't preach to others

  2. You can never ‘own’ a cat.
  3. You can’t have too many cushions.
  4. No t-shirt is worth more than £30.
  5. Blokes called Ken are twats.

Also - don't wear a jumpsuit to your smear test. Lesson learned the hard way this week.

QueenPeary · 14/08/2021 13:16

Blokes called Ken are twats.

I know they can't all be, but I have personal experience of multiple terrible kens!

DynamoKev · 14/08/2021 13:51

30 to 50 thousand diet related deaths in England per year........
All those people died directly as a result of eating white bread which is a poison? What an absolute load of over simplistic sanctimonious crap.

Does the white bread poison work on rodents? Asking for a friend

I aged out of smear tests in 2019 year and celebrated with champagne

@BritWifeInUSA

Even Jesus ate bread.
This would have been A type of mattsah (sp?) bread, very different to our leavened processed breads.

I didn't know one could "age out" if smear tests. Do tell, save me the trouble

Most bread even at that time would have been leavened. Matzoh was and is eaten by Jews specifically at Passover, in memory of the Israelites who had to escape so fast from Egypt that they had no time to wait for their bread to rise.

Admittedly it would not have been processed in modern style!
