My life rules

Things life has taught me

  1. Never never never eat white bread, or feed it to children, it just changes to sugar in your body, it is poison!
  1. Never never never support slave based industry, eg cannabis, clothing made with child labour, UNNESSESARY TECH UPGRADES, like replacing perfectly good working phones for no reason
  1. I'm sure I will think of more. Not much point in going into the environmental ones, like limit meat and diary, and never eat fish, don't drink bottled water etc, much debated elsewhere on Mumsnet

What are yours?

Most carbs convert to sugar so what’s so poisonous about bread then?

  1. Life is too short to not eat white bread as well as brown
  2. Life is also too short to be a judgemental twat about other people's diets
  3. Celery is the work of the devil

Kill it with kindness.

  1. Don't be a twat

  2. Don't write posts on Mumsnet claiming to be just interested whilst fishing for things to publish in a listicle somewhere else

sadperson16 · 12/08/2021 09:54

A little of what you fancy does you good.

Don't eat at Burger King, but especially don't eat at Victoria Coach Station Burger King.

Always do a wee before you leave the house.

capturedbyasquid · 12/08/2021 10:03

Don't limit diary, otherwise you end up forgetting your dentist appointment.

NotImpossible · 12/08/2021 10:04

@Manzanilla55

If you avoid fish and limit meat what do you eat.
Lots of things, probably. Like millions of vegetarians and vegans. This is a weird question.

I really fancy a crusty white cheese and pickle roll now...

Thewholeshackshimmy · 12/08/2021 10:06

White bread is the only thing which helps my awful IBS.
All my grandparents lived off white bread and got to their mid 80’s.
My fil has had white bread and butter and a daily fried breakfast since childhood, he is 80.
My neighbour is 90 and only ever eats white bread.
If it is so evil and poisonous how have they got to these ages in good health?
Oh yeah, it’s because they’ve got on with their lives without dictating to anyone else what they should or shouldn’t do with theirs.
