You guys need to stop filling the thread when nothing is happening!!

In the meantime I had the most amazing nights sleep last night. Absolutely full of food and had an amazing day and frankly this morning I couldn't care if he's there for 6 months Grin

@BlueLobelia

I do not believe it was a corincidence that people turned up late last night and milled around. I reckon it was dickhead with mates and bolt cutters.
I agree. They were sussing things out, they'll be back tonight with the right equipment to get the car out.

This is better than anything on TV at the moment - it's all the drama Mick, I just love it!!! Grin

BlueEyesWhiteDragon · 02/08/2021 07:56

I've got friends in common with his DP. The Dsis text me rather than FB so I don't know if that person is his sister if that makes sense?

OP posts:
MaggieFS · 02/08/2021 07:57

@BlueEyesWhiteDragon

DB has text a mate asking them to post on FB "Thats my truck. Will drop you a message now"

He has then instructed me to give it an hour and post
"Sorted now"

Excellent.

AttaGirrrrl · 02/08/2021 07:57

Imagine being so male that rather than simply saying “can I have my car back please?” (or not parking there at all!!) you avoid the situation / are arrogant enough to just leave it / send your mates round. It’s just bizarre.

Billybagpuss · 02/08/2021 07:57

He’s the sort that will sort it out today so it encroaches on work time rather than his play time. It’ll be: ‘Sorry guys I won’t be available this morning I have to sort my car out as some silly bitch blocked it in’

Glumgal · 02/08/2021 07:58

@UniversalAunt

But JAsis shares FB mates with OP, so she’s not fake?
Wasn't that the wife? Mutual FB friends discovered after CF was tagged in OPs post I think.
ifonly4 · 02/08/2021 07:59

OP, glad you had a lovely meal and good night's sleep.

Obviously you can't damage the car. If this carries on much longer, I reckon you need to have a party on the track though for all your new found friends on this thread. Obviously food will have to be a takeaway carvery - just hope no one slips near CF's car with a carving knife.

Exactly. I have a picture of this guy in my head and it ain't a pretty one.
FeatheredHope · 02/08/2021 07:59

Beyond bizarre.

Perhaps message his DP as you have friends in common? She must be well aware of his twattish behaviour (so not surprised to hear he’s a cyclist)

MrsClatterbuck · 02/08/2021 08:00

I once saw an an abandoned car in a Tesco car park. It had a notice on it to say that if not collected within 14 days from such and such a date it would be taken away. It looked a bit rough tbh. This would have been private ground ofTesco's and one of those car parks that's on the ground with the store above. No other shops just Tesco.

DrBlackbird · 02/08/2021 08:01

My vote is that he’s been made aware of these threads. That he’s the type of man who’s only really concerned about other men. So his plan is to wait for OP’s DB to vacate premises before he goes to confront the OP alone to demand the gate to be unlocked.

But the lengths that some people really just men go to because they won’t have anybody tell them what to do or not do is absolutely nuts. Entirely unscientifically I’ll say it’s to do with the influence of testosterone.

DartmoorDoughnut · 02/08/2021 08:02

I think I love your DB Grin

RandomMess · 02/08/2021 08:02

What time can you phone the FC and tell them their track is being wilfully obstructed 😂

Mrstreehouse · 02/08/2021 08:03

He just sounds like a twat. That is all.

AuntLydiasNewHairdo · 02/08/2021 08:04

Glad you managed some pudding after all OP. You'll need some strength for today's activities.

PanamaPattie · 02/08/2021 08:05

Your DB is a legend. He can’t go home until this is sorted.

QueenStromba · 02/08/2021 08:07

If he knows about the threads then he'll know that the FC chucking his car in a ditch today is a realistic possibility.
Scrowy · 02/08/2021 08:08

I think he is banking on the gates being open during the week.

He's probably got the idea they are only locked at the weekend. He's probably planning on sneaking in sometime today thinking it will be back to business as usual and no one will notice him driving off.

BruceAndNosh · 02/08/2021 08:08

I assuming your truck is still blocking the exit?

How wide is the access road he's parked on?
Can you get round the car if you need to?

MadeForThis · 02/08/2021 08:09

Post to say that if the car isn't removed by midday then it will be towed as you need access.

Soubriquet · 02/08/2021 08:09

I bet he will do everything he can to avoid talking to you, whilst attempting to get his car back at the same time.

I honestly don’t know what to suggest. I don’t know if the FC can do anything, or if a tow trucker can do anything but it’s worth looking at

randomchap · 02/08/2021 08:09

Do you have CCTV covering the entrance? If they do try something like breaking and entering will you be able to get evidence?

All he needs to do is knock on the door and apologise. It's not hard.

He's a knobhead.

I'm now planning a carvery next weekend.

Sssloou · 02/08/2021 08:10

If the FB message from the “sister” allowed you to identify his FB page and that of his wife - and you recognised him physically as the man you met then she must be real?

You can also then send him and his wife a FB message directly?

You also said that him being parked there doesn’t bother you because you can drive around the back off road - can he not just do the same?

I also wouldn’t be updating on this thread that your DB is leaving because that’s what they are waiting for - I would say that he has moved in permanently and is camped out next to it.

If he is working from home he might not need the car for another week.

Howdidigetsoold · 02/08/2021 08:10

Are you calling the FC today?

Greenpolkadot · 02/08/2021 08:11

Where is parking thread 1 ?
