Would you opt to be a sahm if you were mortgage free, and your dh earned 60k?

I know that there will be lots of women on here who would always work no matter what the situation and wouldn't want to be "dependent" on a man. But I'm asking those who would love to be a sahm or who you with the idea etc

Would you in these circumstances?I currently work full time but you with it every so often, I would miss my wage I suppose but I like the idea of spending more time with the dc. Dh doesn't mind either way.

We also don't have childcare Costs so I'm not working to pay those as such.

Contribution isn’t just monetary. The change in society where we have become so capitalist that we are blind to other things that enhance our lives makes me sad. I am not naive. I am well educated. I don’t think I set a bad example to my kids. I am not a cock-shacker (or whatever horrible term that some women choose to label other women).

‘My teacher asked what I want to be when I grow up. To be happy was my reply. You don’t understand the assignment she said. You don’t understand life, I told her’

Attributed to John Lennon but kinda sums up my attitude.

Thank you everyone.

My dc are not toddlers. I won't be having any more as they were ivf babies and we won't be doing that again. (Also dh has a vasectomy)

A pp asked...we have never had childcare costs as my dm and mil have always had them (yes we offered to pay but they wouldn't have it) I stayed home for the first year and financially we were ok. Dh was on 49k then.

I cannot go part time in my current role. The loss of income would be 35k

I wi look into switching jobs and opting for a part time role
