The vile Dawn Foster tweets ffs. But he seems Teflon coated. He will never be cancelled. Three fucking columns a week … a pissing radio show, albeit on Times Radio, which surely no one listens to. I would love to be proved wrong. Absolutely love to be.

Julie B is an old bat but she's right. It's very tiresome.

I always love reading Julie Burchill. She’s brilliant on stuff like reality TV and politicians. My Jewish friends find her appropriation of Israel and Judaism irksome though.

Also, it's unlikely some of these newspapers will ever turn into The Guardian overnight. So what's the point? Just read the Guardian and enjoy undisturbed bliss

Actually, Nigella is a really good example of how to have a great career based on talent, and to tweet incredible supportive stuff to make people feel good, and still have a famous dad.

I love Nigella. She is one of the few exceptions to Dawn Foster’s rule. If I’ve heard from your Da I don’t need to hear from you.

I don’t want to keep paying for the Times subscription though as, as well as being boring, part of it is funding Giles Coren’s salary and I think gloating over the death of a 33 year old woman who got where she did not because of nepotism and who suffered from a long illness, is nothing short of vile.

I love Nigella too. She is the best sort of woman, while Giles is the worst sort of man.

@LittleBearPad I did phone up and cancel my Times subscription! I was explaining to someone who told me to read the Guardian instead why I didn’t want to continue paying for it. They offered me a 90% discount for 6 months but I said thanks but no thanks, not until you no longer have Giles Coren on your staff.

I think it was both her parents were lawyers in the industry and she went to the same prep school all the toff actors do. Even worse they made out DR was some unknown when hed been in films already and his mum was.......drum roll... A casting agent

Also this makes no sense as you are on a thread discussing his actions but you don't know what those actions are. And if you don't approve of bullying & threats why would you not criticise Giles for this?

Christ alive; justifiably criticising someone for reprehensible behaviour, and calling for some kind of deserved punishment to teach them a much-needed (if far-too-late-in-life) lesson that actions have consequences is NOT bullying.

Yes, I really do. I met her several times when so was a teenager through family friends. She struck me as being so intelligent, articulate and vivacious. And also a bloody good mother to her very young children while her first husband John Diamond was dying of throat cancer. I adored her.
