And we are supposed to be going as a whole family, with the grandparents, to France on Sunday.

Does anyone know how I can find out if I will be let into France.

The posters who have had the named batches, does your NHS app state AstraZeneca or Covishied?

Justforphoto · 02/07/2021 11:55

if you go into travel then click on show details it lists everything there

Thiscantreallybehappening · 02/07/2021 11:58

There is also a question mark over anyone vaccinated with AstraZeneca travelling from the UK to US. Apparently, as US haven't approved AstraZeneca they may require people who have had that vaccine to face tougher restrictions.

Our Government is going to have to sort these issues out. The whole things seems stupid and just a lot of red tape.

TheGenealogist · 02/07/2021 11:58

Posters in Scotland - most posters on this thread are confidently saying "the batch is on the card" or "check the app" because they are in England.

In Scotland we don't get cards.

When I log into the NHS Scotland vaccine appointment list website (vacs.nhs.scot/csp?id=vaccine_appointment_list) it shows the dates of my 2 jabs, and that I have had Pfizer, but not batch numbers. I am assuming this information is recorded somewhere but we in Scotland do not have access to it.

I have: Covid-19 Vaccine
AstraZeneca
Dose 1

         Date of Vaccination:

Then the same for dose 2. No batch number listed.

Where is your batch number listed?

Until they realise it's not just the UK it'll affect, it's Canada, European countries etc as well. Then they'll probably backtrack rather than lose the tourists. This already happened with Springsteen on Broadway.

Thiscantreallybehappening · 02/07/2021 12:02

Just to add, I did have the batch numbers of my card and it was originally on the app but the app has changed now to Travel and Event and my batch number isn't there

Exactly my thoughts, the whole situation is red tape and the Governments all need to sort it out and stop causing all this stress to everyone. We could all do without this news.

Thiscantreallybehappening · 02/07/2021 12:06

@TheGenealogist

I'm England and I have the same as you.

AlGorithim · 02/07/2021 12:07

Don’t UK travellers have to self-isolate when arriving in France? That’s the reason we can’t go there on holiday. Macron changed the rules last week.

My first batch was 4120Z003 and is therefore one of the 'affected' ones.

On the 'details' page, underneath the QR code it says:

COVID-19 Vaccine AstraZeneca, underneath which there are a number of headings, including:

  • Manufacturer: AstraZeneca AB
  • Vaccine produt: Vaxzevria
Bath nu: 4120Z003

Does that assist at all? Can try screenshotting if useful....

TheOnlyKoiInAPondOfGoldfish · 02/07/2021 12:10

@Thiscantreallybehappening

The NHS app doesn't show batch numbers, do how will they enforce it?
yes it does.

I can see the batch numbers of both jabs, plus the results of every test I've taken, including LF.

GertrudePerkinsPaperyThing · 02/07/2021 12:11

@Thiscantreallybehappening

Mine is like this too
Manufacturer: AstraZeneca

  • Vaccine product: Vaxzevria
Bath nu: 4120Z002
motogogo · 02/07/2021 12:15

Me too, first one though. Not going anywhere and they say it's just an administrative thing

RedToothBrush · 02/07/2021 12:15

@TheFairyCaravan

My first one is too. I think it will turn out to be a storm in a tea cup.
100% this.

select event trials

then select

View covid 19 records

it;s all there.

lousy interface (professional opinion!)

Thiscantreallybehappening · 02/07/2021 12:18

@GertrudePerkinsPaperyThing and
@campaignforreasonabledebate

This is really odd, on both the travel and event under the QR code I just have:

Covid-19 Vaccine
AstraZeneca
Dose 1

Date of Vaccination:

Same repeated for both jabs.

Absolutely no batch number. Batch numbers on my card were not the Covishield ones.

So, neither of mine were from the affected batches. It seems the batches from Covishield have the batch number but other vaccines don't.

Is this correct?

Thiscantreallybehappening · 02/07/2021 12:19

@dianebrewster

Yep, done all that all I have is what is listed. Was your vaccine from Covishield?

motogogo · 02/07/2021 12:23

It was being used in the first 2-3 weeks in March. So mostly 50-60 year olds plus group 6

Thiscantreallybehappening · 02/07/2021 12:23

@dianebrewster

Sorry, I should have been clearer, all I have is what I have put in my earlier post.

DH doesn't have a batch number either and neither of his doses were from the affected ones.

At the side of "Covid-19 vaccine AstraZeneca" on that screen, you should see a little down arrow. If you click on the down arrow it takes you to full details - batch number, where you received it, etc.

RedToothBrush · 02/07/2021 12:24

@Thiscantreallybehappening

The posters who have had the named batches, does your NHS app state AstraZeneca or Covishied?
ALL UK vaccines are under the name Astra Zeneca Vaxzevria.

No one has had it under the brand Covishield.

Honestly, this will not affect Brits.

Soverignty on this lies with nation states NOT the EMA nor the EU.

Its not worth individual EU states kicking up a fuss on this, when so many have already said they aren't arsed for UK vaccinations.

Just a point here - the EU want the Covax scheme to be successful and for vaccinations to be done as quickly as possible around the world.

Unless they want to damage the scheme as a whole - potentially fucking themselves in the process with increased risk of more variants for every set back and delay the scheme faces - they won't fuck about with having a row with the UK on this one.

They might drag feet with India and those vaccinated under the name covishield but thats about it.

Ultimately they know that British certification and checks are up to standard. Its not a hill to die on. There are no gains to be made on this one diplomatically nor politically.

Thats why it will be a non-issue.

Tiddlywinkly · 02/07/2021 12:24

Shit. I've just checked. My 1st dose was the Indian batch, but my second dose wasn't. Where the heck does that leave me?!

Hi @Thiscantreallybehappening - there should be a drop down arrow just to the right of the top line where it says : COVID-19 Vaccine AstraZeneca, or at least there is on my app.

If I click on this, then that opens the drop down menu which contains the additional details, including batch number.

That said, these should match those on your card, so it sounds like you are ok :)

motogogo · 02/07/2021 12:25

@kindaclassy

Actually Spain is desperate and half of all tourists to Malta are British apparently. France can be more picky as they aren't as tourist dependent
