Sorry if this has been done. I've only just seen this shared online and I'm so disturbed. 'Cry more slut' - she's a child Sad I don't understand the hatred and violence towards girls and women, I really can't wrap my head around why those people thought those comments were funny or ok to post.

This situation should show why thinking any kind of twitter relates to the wider community is out of touch and you are involved in a social media bubble that gleefuly wants to out others whilst activily promoting the 'bekind' hashtag.

It's the terminlly online who was applying one side of outrage on this and not applying it equaly

Ratalie · 05/07/2021 22:17

@Justanotherlurker

Sorry I barely understand a word of that, can you clarify?

Confiscatedfidgetspinner · 05/07/2021 22:19

Made perfect sense to me- in facts sums it up perfectly

I don't think there's any real evidence of that. I've looked on twitter and as far as I can see he's being hounded based on some tweets presumably about his own kids, a slightly creepy photo of someone in a pub (which I would agree is a bit unsavoury) and an account on some sort of sex site which has been altered to look incriminating. He does seem a bit off, but Jesus the internet is brutal!

RuggerHug · 05/07/2021 22:47

Fucking hell I had missed seeing about that! I know in general people are a bit on edge/slightly off their normal now but no one would defend that right? It's not football fans(I'm not a massive fan of the game but I can enjoy a good one and the skill involved) that's just scumbaggery using the excuse of football enthusiasm.

RuggerHug · 05/07/2021 22:48

That was to babbaloushka at half 11 on the 1st since the quote didn't work

Skysblue · 05/07/2021 22:55

Twitter is for twits. I was on it briefly, it made Mumsnet look like a haven of tranquil diplomacy. Quit Twitter and recommend everybody else does too.

@TooBigForMyBoots

Disgusting yes. And these are the same people who are oh-so-woke, and attack people like JK Rowling for naff-all, and call Brexiters, thick racist gammon.

Are you sure that they are the same people?Confused

Of course not, mostly the exact opposite, but then @TooBigForMyBoots couldn't take a pop at her chosen targets under cover of seeming sympathetic.
TooBigForMyBoots · 06/07/2021 11:28

Huh @toconclude? I think you might be mixed up, who was I taking a pop at?Confused

DesperateDon · 26/01/2024 14:28

Ah, so everything is okay then..... thanks for clearing that up
