To be really disturbed - Twitter reactions to crying German girl

Sorry if this has been done. I've only just seen this shared online and I'm so disturbed. 'Cry more slut' - she's a child Sad I don't understand the hatred and violence towards girls and women, I really can't wrap my head around why those people thought those comments were funny or ok to post.

This world is full of cunts.

Sadly SM gives these cunts a bigger platform and they happily type county comments behind their screen.

Notcoolmum · 01/07/2021 20:43

Calling a 10 year old child a slut. That's beyond abysmal.

Youreacockarentyou · 01/07/2021 20:47

Always going to get people with sick humour unfortunately, I thought it as soon as I saw her on tv. The slut comment is just to much though. She’s a child. I have daughters & id be absolutely fuming.

ForgedInFire · 01/07/2021 20:47

They should never have showed the child crying. As soon as I saw it I knew it would go viral. Poor darling Sad it makes me embarrassed to support England

bigbaggyeyes · 01/07/2021 20:47

We were in the pub when the little girl was shown, there was a huge 'ahhhh' when it was shown on the telly, even the roughty toughty blokes all let out a lovely 'ahh bless' for her.

I think the tweets are awful..... but it's not everyone who had the same sentiment

Heneage · 01/07/2021 20:50

It's not people, it's men. Always fucking men. Frankly those men would also have voted for Brexit too

Jahebejrjr · 01/07/2021 20:52

I think the reaction in the pub is the one most football fans would have. They’ve cried themselves as children and seen their own children cry too. Most people are not monsters.
I don’t get how many people are linking a football tournament to Brexit. Lots of remainers are football fans too. It’s bizarre.

Mummyoflittledragon · 01/07/2021 20:55

Men. Vile men. Always men.

What do they think they achieve by humiliating a little girl? They must feel widely inadequate to react in this way.

ForgedInFire · 01/07/2021 20:56

I had a look on Twitter and the account that called the child a slut is gone. I saw another one referring to her as a "little nazi slag" what the actual fuck is wrong with these men

MarshaBradyo · 01/07/2021 20:57

I agree re avoiding Twitter it’s a cesspit

MrsSkylerWhite · 01/07/2021 20:57

This is why I don’t lol at Twitter (or follow football).

C130 · 01/07/2021 21:00

These are the same type of people who post racist crap about black football players. They are not decent people, any one is fair game in their eyes, even an innocent German child.

babbaloushka · 01/07/2021 21:00

My DD was called a "fucking nazi" for posting a Snapchat of her with German flag face-paint on (she's half German). There is plenty of lighthearted banter between DH and his English friends, but inevitably someone takes it too far and the war gets mentioned, or Jews, or showers, and it all goes quiet. Some people just don't know how to stop.

I saw another twitter post that said something like "don't think we forgot your grandad killed Anne Frank, cry more nazi slag" about that German girl in the crowd. I wish they hadn't shown the footage, people really are awful.

babbaloushka · 01/07/2021 21:03

Saw a good reply to the top right that said something like: "Given that domestic abuse rises by 37% when England lose, I think these lads could learn something about healthy emotional expression from that little girl", which I thought was quite right.

I saw that one aswell and reported it. I'm sorry people are cunts sometimes, your DH and DD (and well everyone really) don't deserve that.

Look, not lol.
You’ve probably realised I am not tech savvy.

MrsHuntGeneNotJeremyObviously · 01/07/2021 21:07

The police should trace and prosecute the sort of scum who post that. They should have their faces and posts displayed in their workplaces and their towns Facebook pages, so that everyone knows what a complete piece of shit they are. Public shaming and consequences is the only way to stop it.
I think the media is going to have to stop filming children - that child should never have been exposed to this

babbaloushka · 01/07/2021 21:10

@RuggerHug

Thank you, I'm a big footie fan myself so really understand the excitement but can't even imagine insulting another team's nationality or ethnic background. DH hates it as they do quite intensive learning about their history in school and have strict laws about Nazi symbolism, so the idea that people think most Germans may still harbour any semblance of Nazism is repugnant, it's really quite upsetting to him, especially as they have progressed so far as a country.

DrSbaitso · 01/07/2021 21:11

Welcome to Twitter, now you know why I can't stand it. It's taken some of the spillover from when there was so much shit that the cesspit of Reddit couldn't hold it all.

nothingcanhurtmewithmyeyesshut · 01/07/2021 21:11

One of my Twitter contacts posted "bottle those Nazi tears" in reaction to this and I've never been so quick to block someone. How do people live with themselves.

Some people should have been swallowed.

LemonFantaGin · 01/07/2021 21:11

@MyFloorIsLava unfortunately not, he later added that it had caused some outrage and he deeply apologises, she is closer to 9yo, or something like that.

Bumblenums1234 · 01/07/2021 21:14

The messages are vile but why on earth did the media show it in the first place? Zoomed in, trying to stir the pot. They knew exactly what they were doing.

mommybear1 · 01/07/2021 21:15

Jesus that is awful, just awful.

DrSbaitso · 01/07/2021 21:16

I once saw a real life suicide video on Twitter. I watched it because the comments on it truly led me to believe it was a comedy video. They weren't trying to trick people; they genuinely found it funny and responded as such.

I reported it and Twitter finally took it down about two weeks later.

It's a shower of shit on there. I do follow a few respectable people whose output I value but I can't avoid coming across shite on the feed and I hardly look at it. It can make you hate humanity.

cardibach · 01/07/2021 21:16

It’s not the football tournament that’s linked to brexit. It’s the awful hatred of other Europeans. That is the attitude which led to Brexit. It’s the same people who voted for it who post this sort of shit. And it’s much more in the open since, they used to know decent people wouldn’t take it but now they think they have the upper hand. In fact due to Johnsons’s shower of shit they probably do. I despair for this country.
