Surely you would have cameras in a Government building and surely pointing it at doorways between different areas or departments isn't a bad idea.
It looks like a screenshot of a cctv security camera monitor.

It doesn’t take very long or much mental gymnastics to look beyond your own front door. Plenty of people are single parents and manage it.

KarenofSparta · 29/06/2021 06:31

@BuckleupVIP

Maybe they were both just very unhappy in their marriages and found love with each other?

In many ways, it's none of our business. Yes, I think they are both bad people, but they obviously think they are doing it for the right reasons.

To think the Queen referred to MH has "poor man" only recently. Maybe she knew more about what was about to come out than she was letting on! lol

I'd love to think Her Maj was well informed, knew in advance and we saw a flash of her wicked sense of humour.
Devilishpyjamas · 29/06/2021 06:40

@BuckleupVIP

Whilst I get the fury and agree that Matt Hancock is a bad person, it seems that he's setting the example of "so what, I got what I wanted and I don't care about anyone else's feelings because I am happy."

Chances are, he will be happy and do just fine. We can vent our furious opinions and be angry about it. Empathise with his wronged wife. But looks like he won.

Man Hancock is the kind of person that makes me want to believe in things like Karma.

Depends what you mean by ‘just fine’. I don’t think anyone puts their family through what he has and leaves them just fine. Whether Hancock values that or not us another matter. He may never be capable of recognising what he has lost by inflicting that damage but his relationships with others will be affected by it.
the80sweregreat · 29/06/2021 06:45

If they do get married eventually, then Gina will be on the same number of spouses as Boris Johnson ( maybe she has more in common with him than Matt Hancock does ?)
Still , they can all go to hell in a handcart as far as I'm concerned anyway , plus I still believe they will come up smelling of roses as people like them always do.

Devilishpyjamas · 29/06/2021 06:45

@the80sweregreat

Karma doesn't seem to extend to these types though does it? He is a wealthy man who will sail through the divorce and get what he wants. Same as his ex boss has in the past too. The devil takes care of his own , it's such a true saying.
I understand that Johnson’s kids with his ex wife have little to do with him? So his behaviour has impacted on him. He’s probably too selfish to care but if he was more emotionally mature he would recognise the enormity of that loss & his role in it.
Sylvan92 · 29/06/2021 06:55

Apparently his constituency party is furious and talking about deselecting him. I really hope they do.

TheoMeo · 29/06/2021 07:04

Apparently it’s serious and they are in lurve

This makes it worse imv that they didn't bother to inform their partners.
Probably thought they'd string everyone along to avoid tarnishing his standing as an MP. All this 'it's not about the affair' talk because it's private lives and nothing to do with anyone but when DCs are involved it's a bit sad to say the least and I'm sure does influence people's opinions of them.

Hopefully they won't but it will be a harder battle for the seat at the next election (though I imagine it would be hard for Torys to lose it).

Having been in the shoes of MH's daughter at a similar age, although without the famous Dad and the press coverage, he has screwed that relationship. My view of my Dad was incredibly jaundiced and cynical from age 13, and it didn't improve before his death when I was 35.

Fluffycloudland77 · 29/06/2021 07:27

MH looks like a minor character from a Wallace and gromit animation. To get one woman interested was an achievement.

He wouldn’t have had either if he’d had a normal job.

I hope his constituents do de-select him.

Roussette · 29/06/2021 07:41

I wonder if Martha wondered why... with all the pressure of his job... he used to bounce out the door with a grin and a cheery 'I'm off to work Darling!!'

Prhaps Martha and Oliver could get together, they'd make a handsome couple Grin

RoyalMush · 29/06/2021 07:56

This isn’t just about a couple of bad apples, the work culture around them looks shifty. Yuck.

TheoMeo · 29/06/2021 08:17

Looks like Lord Bethell was used to arrange her pass so she wasn't connected with MH.
Not good.

Was he hiding in a freezer with his boss?

I know it’s grim isn’t it? She is the glam confident, exotically-named rich girl that all the boys love at Oxford, he moons over her for years but she keeps him dangling and he eventually plumps for second best Martha, who dutifully supports his political ambitions, pops out three kids (because two is never enough for these types is it?) and gets a Mum-job instead of using her own Oxford degree. In the meantime he gets to cabinet and suddenly Gina is all over him like a rash and he can’t believe his luck. Martha and the kids are only a footnote, a wrong turning in his epic 20 year long love story. Stupid idiot.

Odisia · 29/06/2021 09:39

I have no time for either of them but I think calling Gina a serial cheat, with no evidence, is going a bit far.

BiscoffAddict · 29/06/2021 09:40

MH is a serial cheat, he was named on the 2017 Tory sleaze list for having an affair with a different member of staff.

EvilPea · 29/06/2021 09:41

@JackieWeaverHandforthCouncil

Did anyone read last weeks Popbitch newsletter about rumours with Gove’s marriage?

Sarah Vines column on the issues in political marriages the other day makes more sense now. The rumour involves Gove allegedly playing away with the trade negotiator (rhymes with ‘Puss’.

Spitting images gove is fantastic

In a nutshell

He really is a stupid idiot

the80sweregreat · 29/06/2021 09:46

I wasn't accusing Gina ( who I don't know and never met and never will ) of being a cheat in the past as I've no idea what went on with husbands one and two, just the fact that if they did marry she'll be on the same number of partners / spouses as Boris Johnson !
It just struck me , if this was a crowd who lived in a tower block on benefits etc etc they would be sneered at by the likes of Rees mogg , but if your posh and Oxbridge educated then it's all ok. One rule for them because they have money.

Peregrina · 29/06/2021 10:04

Yes, Rees-Mogg has kept mighty quiet, hasn't he?

Blossomtoes · 29/06/2021 10:19

eeps are saying there is loads of money sloshing around as he earns £80k /not sure how far that goes with all those kids

You’re forgetting all the money he creamed off during the pandemic from his share holdings in various companies. He’s feathered his nest very comfortably at our expense.

vivariumvivariumsvivaria · 29/06/2021 10:37

God, men and their egos are so BORING! It's always about the penis and where they can pop it.

MH had power and influence, and is acting out the same script that keeps the "relationships" board going. How very unoriginal of him.

I saw a thing "sexuality is innate, there is no other explanation for heterosexuality" it struck me as a truth because that I think men, as a class, are fucking idiots, and yet I can't be even the least bit lesbian.

I'll work on turning my teen boys into better men than Matt Hancock instead.

PicsInRed · 29/06/2021 10:42

🤣 Was thinking this just the other day.

There will be a few glass houses in Whitehall.
