In one of the many pictures of MH’s office there was a high vis vest and hard hat with NHS on it hanging on the coat rack.

So she’s got through two husbands now - not bad going at 42.

I haven’t read every single post but the fact that there are SIX children as collateral damage in this whole sordid affair is so sad. Apparently it’s serious and they are in lurve, but will she really be happy to live apart from her children? Otherwise Matt Hancock’s poor kids will be faced with the prospect of their Dad living with someone else’s children. Though perhaps hers will refuse to live with them, not sure how old they are. Imagine being prepared to sacrifice your home life with your children so you could shag Matt Hancock. Insane.

I’m sorry but I don’t care how unhappy your marriage is or how much in love you are, snogging in the office is grim, unprofessional and juvenile. By all means have an affair with your colleague but don’t conduct it when you are meant to be working and other colleagues are around. Yuck.

Did anyone read last weeks Popbitch newsletter about rumours with Gove’s marriage?

Sarah Vines column on the issues in political marriages the other day makes more sense now. The rumour involves Gove allegedly playing away with the trade negotiator (rhymes with ‘Puss’.

There are all sorts of rumours about Gove going around at the moment. I've read that one, but I've also read very different rumours.

That's a very charitable take! The Matts and Ginas in these situations are doing it because they are in love/lust and they're putting their infatuation before everything else. No doubt they square it all off in their minds as being 'the best for everyone' but no one believes that. Not even them.

I agree with what you're saying but trying to see from their perspective too. They obviously don't care. If they did care, then they wouldn't be moving in together to show the world their solidarity despite being called out for bad behaviour.

There's a new Netflix show called 'Sex/Life' with a similar theme. Housewife is dissatisfied with her lovely life in the suburbs and fantasises for the excitement of risk she experienced in her glory days.
Really hard to empathise with her, but the storyline is making a point about 'having it all'.

The thing is that husbands in this situation do take the wives back. The fact that Oliver helped her load the car makes him already seem like s decenter sort than MH.

Awful that this pair walk out and leave the shocked spouse to deal with bewildered children as well as managing their own devastation.
MH maybe saw his boss and George Osborne loved up with their respective colleagues (tho’ GO romance reportedly on the rocks despite the baby according to the Spectator podcast last week) ) and thought it would the right move. But It is one thing to to leave a wife and grown up children (tho’ reportedly it was Marina who decided she had had enough and threw him out) for a hot young thing with no baggage of her own -entirely different ghastly complicated mess to leave two sets lof young children very suddenly with all the endless planning - not to mention expense - that entails. And Gina will be menopausal soon - same time as his STBXW…
MH will be very ruefully regretting this before long -if not already.
Peeps are saying there is loads of money sloshing around as he earns £80k /not sure how far that goes with all those kids. Gina’s family reportedly much more loaded -so you have disparity there. Will she pay his kids’ school fees? Or they go state snd hers private? Resentment - much?
What a nightmare - say her kids live with G&M with visits from M’s kids at weekends when hers are with their father. Resentment-much? Imagine the logistics. Holidays etc. Always have to live close to the two other families unless boarding school for all.

The reason they were groping at work anyway is maybe that their live are pretty busy so difficult to grope in their own time even before the split.
Guessing before long it will be ‘married sex’.

I don't think they would leave their spouses if the affair was not exposed. It looks like it was going on from 2019.
