Surely you would have cameras in a Government building and surely pointing it at doorways between different areas or departments isn't a bad idea.
It looks like a screenshot of a cctv security camera monitor.

Dodgy contracts with mates set up via a private google email account.

Employed his mistress.

Woke up his 8yr old to tell them he was leaving.

Disgusting man.

borntobequiet · 27/06/2021 22:01

I’m in a school.

I imagine many school staff would be high-fiving one another and ordering in pizza if Gavin Williamson were suddenly obliged to resign. But I expect his aides are put off snogging him by the spider and the whip.

Blossomtoes · 27/06/2021 22:03

Apparently she’s staying with her father in Steeple Morden - conveniently close to Hancock’s constituency home.

Roussette · 27/06/2021 22:06

The vaccine programme has been amazing. Loads of centres, well staffed

So? Quite rightly.

And staffed by NHS workers and a huge army of volunteers. I am sick to death of vaccine vaccine vaccine being the answer to everything. We've dropped behind Italy, Germany and France now anyway (info taken from BBC website)

Boris does this in PMQ in the most disgusting way. He did it when questioned by Starmer at the rates of convictions for rape. It was abhorrent and showed just what this Government thinks of important matters. When against the ropes he answers 'vaccination record'.

nonono1 · 27/06/2021 22:19

I think this is the distraction that pp's were talking about, that hidden cameras were planted in minister's offices.

Hardly a hidden camera - from the pictures I’ve seen it looked like a massive great ball on the ceiling! I’m not sure how anyone could miss it! Confused

@Roussette do you have a link for that? I just did a quick google and it looks like 29% of Italians have been fully vaccinated. Here it’s over 60%!

Divineswirls · 27/06/2021 22:34

The camera was hidden in a smoke alarm in that room

Blossomtoes · 27/06/2021 22:36

@Divineswirls

The camera was hidden in a smoke alarm in that room
To paraphrase - opinions on that may differ.
Roussette · 27/06/2021 22:37

Yep here it is
Look under 'how well are EU countries doing'

nonono1 · 27/06/2021 22:40

@Roussette oh, slightly misleading post then. Our daily dose numbers may be lower than those countries currently, but we’ve vaccinated far more many people than they have!

nonono1 · 27/06/2021 22:41
  • far more people!
Thewinterofdiscontent · 27/06/2021 22:45

@Blossomtoes

Your callousness rivals that of Brendan Lewis *@Thewinterofdiscontent*. It’s really distasteful and unpleasant.
Grow up. You can feel dismay for individuals whilst seeing the bigger picture.
Peregrina · 27/06/2021 22:55

And staffed by NHS workers and a huge army of volunteers.

And a very good example of NHS staff and ordinary people, far from breaking the rules, pulling together instead. Pity our elected representatives in Government don't feel the same sense of obligation. Not that this should surprise you with Johnson.

Peregrina · 27/06/2021 22:57

What 'bigger picture' do Johnson's Government see? Do tell us. The only thing they seem able to see is how to make money for themselves.

lllllllllll · 27/06/2021 23:00

Interesting the thought that the Queen's remark suggests that it may not all have been of a sudden and either Mr Johnson or Mr Hancock knew something was going to be reported.

@newnortherner111 well yes, the paper in question would presumably have contacted Hancock before publication?

Shehasadiamondinthesky · 27/06/2021 23:02

6 kids visiting for half of the week should soon cause enough grief to split the lovers up.
They have three each. i hardly think any budding love affair will survive that.

Dustyboots · 27/06/2021 23:36

I missed the post that said this - but having watched the short video of Queenie with Boris in the week talking about the Health Secretary "poor man" - I wonder too whether she knew that this was coming.

It's funny - there's been a couple of clips of her recently and she suddenly seems much less discreet and silent than she used to be. Like an archetypal old woman who says whatever she pleases. It's made me smile.

lljkk · 27/06/2021 23:43

So I've found on Twitter the rumours that Gove & Vine are allegedly separated due to his infidelity. So hence the enormous faith posters here put in her article as some kind of ... swipe?

tbh, now that I know that context, her article is even more bland than I thought. If that's the best she has, I'm rather disappointed.

bitheby · 27/06/2021 23:47

Wasn't the Queen just winding Boris up because of what he'd said about MH. I very much doubt The Sun would've called her to give her a heads up before the exposé. Although the timing was pretty perfect and I wonder whether that might've triggered them running it that particular day.

13579db · 27/06/2021 23:52

He clearly knows something that the gen public doesn't know regarding the severity of covid if he's happy to bang on regardless and share saliva etc since most likely 2019 if you read the mail and all the links to past events at that time

What I'm trying to say is clearly he doesn't think of the risk of covid in the same way as many of us.

So does he have reason to believe covid isn't even a risk?

That is troubling me more than this nauseating affair story.

And huge sympathies to his wife and to Gina's husband. It's just awful.

Blossomtoes · 27/06/2021 23:53

That’s never going to happen and if it does, she at least can afford staff.
Dustyboots · 27/06/2021 23:59

So does he have reason to believe covid isn't even a risk?

I’ve been wondering the same thing. I suppose he’d already had Covid-19 and was possibly already vaccinated.

It’s odd. I don’t give two hoots about his affair. All that is boring- but what’s underneath all this is not.

Zotter · 28/06/2021 00:28

No other country has skipped through it without a hitch

No, they haven’t but a fair few done better. Germany have had 90,000 deaths, U.K. 130,000. Adjusting for population equivalent to U.K, Germany would be 170,000 deaths if same as U.K.

nonono1 · 28/06/2021 06:59

I took that to mean “poor man” as in, he’s got a difficult job - not that she knew he was about to be exposed as a cheating love rat!
