Surely you would have cameras in a Government building and surely pointing it at doorways between different areas or departments isn't a bad idea.
It looks like a screenshot of a cctv security camera monitor.

@malificent7

Wasn't Gina in his " bubble?" / working in the same place?
I work in the public sector I'm working from home and not even allowed to meet a colleague for coffee in working hours, there's definitely no bubble arrangement that would allow me to kiss and grope someone in the office.

My DD (the ICU nurse) was on shift yesterday when the news broke that MH had resigned. The staff around the nurses station all cheered and did high fives. When they told the lead consultant, he ordered in pizza for end of shift.
That's how gutted the staff are - the very same that MH reckoned he stretched every bloody sinew for.
Says it all.

Roussette · 27/06/2021 20:12

Oh Sophie that is actually funny... no loss then.

I had read somewhere that not only was he not popular in parliament but also not with the powers that be at the NHS

None of the others are going to be any better, I'm not sure why they would celebrate whilst the conservatives are still in power.
bitheby · 27/06/2021 20:14

Wonder what they all did when SJ got appointed?

SueSaid · 27/06/2021 20:15

@Odisia

This is not over. Johnson is next. Just watch. It's a chess game and Johnson's (carrie's) move will be passed by their opponent.

This is Cummings in action. Revenge.

It might be amusing but for the fact we are politically exposed to our enemies. We should be asking serious questions about the cameras and how this was leaked rather than worrying about Hancock having a snog. Who is Cummings' master?

Yes it is staggering that he was ever in such a position of power tbh and to have important government chats on WhatsApp! you'd think everything would be in person or using apps that delete as soon as read.
Dustyboots · 27/06/2021 20:15

I’m asking this question. Many of us are. Are any journalists or papers though? Will there ever be a proper enquiry and are we ever likely to find out the truth?

I don't believe it tbh. I've lots of family and friends in the nhs and they all say they have had massive resources chucked at them. Critical care have practically had a blank cheque.

It really does say it all. Did you see that clip last week where the NHS England chief exec was asked re. the leaked whatsapp messages if he too thought that Matt Hancock was hopeless?
Frazzledazzles · 27/06/2021 20:20

@JaniieJones - Hmm

Its90minutestonight · 27/06/2021 20:21

And how does DD feel about The Saj?

ilovesooty · 27/06/2021 20:22
@ilovesooty i agree. I shared the link from youtube.

Somehow i suspect you wouldnt say to an emotionally abused woman that its not as bad as being physically abused though.

Or perhaps you would Perhaps you ARE that kind of person. I also put in my post that my DM has deteriorated physically since Christmas. I guess we have to be choosing her coffin before it counts though eh! As someone who works in disaster and recovery management confirms my thoughts and actually called it psychological torture i think i will listen to someone with actual experience in the field thanks.
What has your rather distasteful speculation on what I might say to emotionally abused women to do with my belief that burying your child is more psychologically distressing than having restrictions on who you could meet on Christmas day?

MercyBooth · 27/06/2021 20:26

Of course burying a child is more distressing. But being kept apart from relatives who might not have long is distressing too. How the fuck did you not get that from my post?

MercyBooth · 27/06/2021 20:27

Oh i get it. Its because DMs illnesses arent Covid related.

MercyBooth · 27/06/2021 20:29

There are many cases where last Christmas could have been the last one for many

Sarah Harding: 'I won't see another Christmas'

MercyBooth · 27/06/2021 20:30

DM has a brain issue. They dont currently know what is causing it but it is affecting her limbs and movement.

Wheresmybiscuit3 · 27/06/2021 20:32

@ScribblyBaller I’ve never seen that video before but it’s very telling isn’t it!

ilovesooty · 27/06/2021 20:33

So what has your distasteful speculation on what I might or might not say to abused women to do with your emphasis on Christmas and my perception that one's plans for Christmas day being restricted is not the worst psychological torture one can experience?

MercyBooth · 27/06/2021 20:35

@ilovesooty You were playing top trumps. And well you know it.

ilovesooty · 27/06/2021 20:37
@ilovesooty You were playing top trumps. And well you know it.
Your speculation was irrelevant and abhorrent. Just very cleverly short of personal attack, and not the first time you've done that to me and other people.

SophieB100 · 27/06/2021 20:38

@JaniieJones
Not bothered whether you believe it or not, but glad your friends and family have had loads of resources chucked at them, I really am.

My DD worked too many long shifts in an ICU that was understaffed because many other trained staff were sick with Covid. She nursed a dying nurse with Covid. They had to train up inexperienced staff on the job. She dealt with screaming heartbroken relatives that couldn't be with dying loved ones arranging video links. That last sentence - that's the one...our Health Secretary was explaining those rules, the absolute requirement that this had to happen. People had to die alone without family. Because it was the rules. Rules he repeated. Rules then became adapted...but they were still there, and he broke them. He's a hypocrite. He swore that the ICU units had enough PPE - my DD's didn't - they were handwashing and bleaching PPE after a long shift to use again the next day. She wouldn't face time me after a shift because of the huge dents in her face from wearing all the PPE. Wearing it for more than twice her contracted hours. She was showering, hair, body, top to toe - countless times a day, before donning all the gowns on again to assist dying patients. It was grim, she did it, and she'll do it again.

But to look back at that time (April/May last year was the worse) knowing what we now know about Hancock...yeah, I totally understand why they're all relieved to see the back of him.

And you say that Critical Care had a blank cheque? How does that buy in qualified ICU staff when there are none available? How does that stop hospitals blue lighting Covid patients from other counties because their own hospitals are full?

Whatever Trust your many friends and family members work in - all I can say is I hope they realise how lucky they are.

MercyBooth · 27/06/2021 20:40

I sincerely apologise @ilovesooty I should have realised that i should have waited longer. Its too soon for me to comment as she is still alive.

bonfireheart · 27/06/2021 20:43

"A blank cheque" okaaaaaay

jgw1 · 27/06/2021 20:44

@Dustyboots

I’m asking this question. Many of us are. Are any journalists or papers though? Will there ever be a proper enquiry and are we ever likely to find out the truth?

The questions I'd rather have answered is how anyone can think the Prime Minister has any authority left having had a Secretary of State in post for over a year after saying he was hopeless, and then telling us all to move on the day before the Minister resigned. No amount of whataboutery should distract from the incompetence of Johnson in allowing this to happen.
MercyBooth · 27/06/2021 20:45

@SophieB100 Chucking money at something does nothing unless there are enough staff.

I know ppl think our borders policy is useless but how would NHS staff who have come from other countries feel if they are told they cant go and visit family for an indefinate period. Would they end up leaving the NHS.
