Yes.

NeverDropYourMoonCup · 25/06/2021 20:54

Not your nose, not your business.

beeloubee · 25/06/2021 20:54

No and it's up to him x

BlessedBeTheFruitandNut · 25/06/2021 20:55

It suits some but not others. Same as women.

But really, he’s 20. You need to butt out.

Muddywoof · 25/06/2021 20:55

No

Ninkanink · 25/06/2021 20:55

Uhm I meant yes I think they’re naff (not yes, YABU to ask).

Ninkanink · 25/06/2021 20:56

However as others have said it’s his nose and his business!

Iooselipssinkships · 25/06/2021 21:01

My partner has his done and wears a small silver ring, I think it looks fab. That's our style though I guess? We were both moshers back in the day and still are to an extent. I have my septum pierced.

WorraLiberty · 25/06/2021 21:01

I don't think they suit anyone to be fair but why would you want to talk him out of it?

MsAnnThropic · 25/06/2021 21:02

No.

Clappingforjoy · 25/06/2021 21:06

Thought it was too feminine

He’s only 20 though and it’s not permanent so I’d stop worrying too much.

massiveportion · 25/06/2021 21:07

Because a 20 year old is going to listen to randoms on MN.

MonkeyPuddle · 25/06/2021 21:08

It’s a nose piercing, he’s not having a lactating breast tattooed on his forehead.

NeverDropYourMoonCup · 25/06/2021 21:14

He's not going to catch Gay from having a nose stud or ring, you know.

Mind you, if it's a feminine thing, I must tell my DP that somebody might mistake him for a girl at the gym because his bald head and male body aren't enough of a clue for people, they need a piercing to be absolutely certain...

Midnightballerina · 25/06/2021 21:18

They look awful on everyone but what can you do?.

Dahlietta · 25/06/2021 21:18

I think they're a bit naff, but I wouldn't imagine I am his target audience.

Rosehip10 · 25/06/2021 21:19

Very common.

You could try to remove your huge judgy pants I guess.

why is being feminine a bad thing? sexism again.

for a woman to doing something typically masculine like wear trousers or be a CEO or assertive it's fine because that aspirational.

but for a man to do anything traditionally female like wear skirts, or put on make-up, or get piercing it's laughable and 'naff' to because for a man to make himself more like a woman is degrading.

let your son do what he wants, he is 20, and if he ends up hating it he can take it out.

yesterdayisgone · 25/06/2021 21:24

Why does it really matter ? He can take it out if he gets fed up with it and it will close over . Relax it’s not a face tattoo Grin

user1493494961 · 25/06/2021 21:24

I think they look totally naff on anyone.

Tuberoses · 25/06/2021 21:25

It’s not feminine. They’re just lower class on everyone.

Midnightballerina · 25/06/2021 21:26

@SoupDragon The Op asked for opinions & that's mine. Isn't wonderful we don't all have to think the same. For the record I'm wearing a houseboat right now,.no.pants

tempconcerns · 25/06/2021 21:27

I think it's attractive on youngish men (like up to mid thirties) but then again I am twenty two Grin

Same with tattoos.
