To ask if nose piercings on men are naff

Because my 20 year old ds is getting one tomorrow and I can't talk him.out of it.

I know a few guys with them (straight guys, as it happens) . Nose piercings haven't ever been particularly fashionable for men, so the men I know with them tend to be fairly unconventional with their own sense of style. For that reason I think it looks good on them.

I would say they are actually quite fashionable for young men these days.

All nose piercings are naff (but not because they are particularly feminine).

I like them, but then I have my own nose pierced. Be who you want to be and allow others the same dignity without labelling them naff.

Dislike them on either sex so I wouldn’t be happy but at 20 would appreciate I had no say in it and it’s better than a tattoo imo.

Like a 20yo gives a shit if you or anyone else here thinks his nose ring is 'naff.' I imagine his friends will think the opposite. For the record, many people, myself included, love the look of piercings. :)

My pretty boy ex has one he ended up cheating with his male friend but has now just had a baby with a female. He looks like a complete moron but I don't like him so it clouds my judgement.

Equally horrible on men and women.

I’ve never seen anyone suit the ring in the septum thing, or eyebrow/moustache piercings, but anything else looks fine. Barely registers. Having your ma think a style looks shit makes it 100% more appealing anyway, it’s the rules 😆

I think they look awful on everyone, but especially men.

I don’t think they look good on anyone, but we only get to choose stuff like this on our own bodies, no one else’s. If it were my son, I’d try to talk him out of it but it would be his choice.

I had a couple of friends who had them in their late teens but they’d all taken them out by mid 20s.

My other half had his done when he was 18 and still wears it nearly 10 years later. Still looks gorgeous on him.

I’m 26 and think nose piercings look awful on men and white people in general. The only time I see them looking alright is on Asian women.

Nose piercings on anyone are naff but as long as no ones forcing me to have one, I don't care.

Not much you can do about this, but they do look a bit naff on everyone.
I saw a guy the other day, he had a large ring piercing in his nose,and two ring piercings,one at each end of his outer eyebrows.And he had some kind of gold longish earrings that looked a bit like a snake design.

At age 20 he can probably pull absolutely anything off so I’d leave him to it.

A permanent design on the skin v a small reversible hole in the nose?

They’re naff on everyone.

But DH got his ear pierced around the same age for no other reason than to piss off his Dad, so I think you’re going the right way about ensuring he gets it done.
