For one portion of broccoli as part of a meal.
We are going to our towns well to do Chinese Restaurant tomorrow and thought I'd browse the menu online.Mains are around £13-£22,starters £8-£11.Aibu (or tight) to think vegetables as part of a meal shouldn't be so expensive? We are in the North if it's relevant.

Lighthearted.

Definitely not BU - there's a very nice restaurant in my hometown that everyone always raves about. Its nice there but nothing - I would consider - amazing.
Anyways when you order a meal; all the sides (vegetables, salad, potatoes, rice) are all separate and you have to pay extra. It's expensive enough (for what I consider average food) without this added extra.
We went there for my MIL birthday and for DH, myself and our 3 children the bill came to well over £100 and none of us had the sides, starters or alcoholic drinks. I would never go there again unless I had to.

I think as its the north they need to air freight in vegetables as a special order

It was great thanks! No broccoli was consumed
