Discussing Palestinian Oppression part 2

Faffandahalf · 16/05/2021 09:28

Just starting another thread as the other one is full.

Please keep talking about Palestinian occupation and oppression.

Please follow Palestinian support groups like Friends of Al Aqsa and Mohammed el Kurd (an amazing Sheikh Jarrah citizen) on Twitter and Insta to get info from the ground. This will take you to other sources of infor coming out of Palestine.

Please keep Palestine part of the conversation and on social media so it’s not forgotten about.

Supporting Palestine is not anti Semitic
Criticising Israel is not anti Semitic.

As an aside I have not once seen the previous thread in active after page 1.
So MN have let the thread stand after numerous complaints of censorship but still odd that it never came up as active.

A reminder of organisations to donate to

Save the children
Medical Aid for Palestine
Ummah welfare trust
Islamic relief
iFcharityUK

There’s a day of solidarity with the Palestinians tomorrow. Please go on insta for more info.

Please follow
Mohammed El Kurd for news from Sheikh Jarrah. They have now brought in concrete blockades in the area and are continuously harassing and suppressing the people there. They are now stopping people coming in including journalists.

JohnOliver has done a great piece on the situation too as has Trevor Noah.

Let’s try and fill the thread with lots of positive info of how to support the Palestinian people

@MaxNormal

I wonder if any of those so keen on defending Israel would like to comment on the current civilian death rate? Or too busy deflecting with accusations of anti-Semitism?
Yes, it is appalling. Hamas have some responsibility in the civilian deaths too. A 2 state solution is the only way forward but some are so invested in hatred that it is hard to see a way forward.

It takes quite something to get deleted for racist posts and then to still try to take the moral high ground.

I don't have one and NOR do you that's the point. You don't actually know who they are or what's going on. You should send the link to an actual news org and they'll check the authenticity. Or to the police.

It's all over the news.

They are supporters of hamas. They are attempting to put out a family, in Birmingham. This is not the first time this kind of thing has happened.

They chased those bigots in a car with a police helicopter and it was covered in every major news network and paper - do you honestly believe that worse is happening, physical attacks etc.

In the last day
Rape threats to Jewish mothers and daughters, by megaphone, in Jewish neighbourhoods in London. By gangs who had planned it before they travelled 200 miles from West Yorkshire.

A rabbi attacked, GBH, again in London. Attacked with weapons by racist thugs

In Birmingham a family home attacked and smashed up, for 'disrespecting' Palestine. Bu am armed mob

but the BBC and everyone else are ignoring it??

No, you are

A 2 state solution is the only way forward

Not enough of Palestine left for that to work and I highly doubt Israel would give enough land back to make it viable.

The United Nations has also expressed concerns about the damage to infrastructure in the already impoverished Gaza Strip, home to two million people. It said that 40 schools and four hospitals had been "completely or partially destroyed" in recent days. It also warned that fuel supplies there were running out, threatening basic services.
The World Health Organization's emergencies chief, Dr Mike Ryan, said all attacks on healthcare needed to stop immediately

Flaxmeadow · 17/05/2021 22:21

Jewish posters on this thread of being paid by the Israeli government. If you can’t see that that this is anti-Semitic, British Jews are in even more trouble than I thought.

Yes, but there is no reasoning with 'it's a bot'.

Faffandahalf · 17/05/2021 22:21

Israel will never have a two state solution as it is carrying out ethnic cleansing right now by continuously building ILLEGAL settlements and stealing more and more land every year.

40 schools, 4 hospitals !

No terrorists here just a refugee camp and a massacre

OP posts:
StoneofDestiny · 17/05/2021 22:23

Just think about that 40 school and 4 hospitals destroyed in the Gaza Strip.

GoingOnABarHunt · 17/05/2021 22:23

The Biden administration has now authorised $735 million sales of weapons to Israel, it was also the only UN Security Council Member who opposed a ceasefire. President Erdogan has described Biden as having “blood soaked hands”.

Israeli airstrikes have severely damaged another medical clinic and offices in Gaza, along with Gaza’s only laboratory testing for coronavirus.

40,000 Palestinian families are now homeless as a result of the Israeli airstrikes.

MaxNormal · 17/05/2021 22:24

@Flaxmeadow this is horrendous and illegal behaviour and I hope the law deals with them harshly.

These people are not Palestinian though so I'm not sure why its being mentioned in this context unless you think it somehow justifies Israel's behaviour.

Palestinians attacked at Al-Aqsa mosque the 3rd holiest site in Islam, sacred and revered.

This attack is what lead to the response from Hamas.

58 children killed by Israel.

Maybe they should have fucked off somewhere else as posters on this thread suggested.

Oh well ‘deal with it’ kids I guess.
