I must share the blame. I planted some petunias out a few days ago, when I stupidly got carried away by the sunshine.

It's like winter now. By the time spring weather arrives it will be officially summer.

Ninkanink · 03/05/2021 17:52

He's outside under the overhang in an anorak, BBQing in the pouring rain. Happy birthday to him...

Oh bless him but that mental image really made me chuckle! Belated Happy Birthday Mr @someonelockthefridgealready! 🍻🍻🍻

nixso29 · 03/05/2021 17:53

I booked a week of AL off work for this week so I feel like I should take my share of the blame

AlmostSummer21 · 03/05/2021 17:55

I thank ye all!!i. I now feel NO guilt at not going on a yomp over the common this afternoon!

Fnib · 03/05/2021 17:56

No, it's my fault - I washed my windows.

LemonDrizzles · 03/05/2021 18:00

I took out the complete set of sun block/after sun/citronella bug sprays.

APurpleSquirrel · 03/05/2021 18:04

I too bought more suncream & booked for us to go to the zoo.
As penance it's been miserable all day, so much so that pretty much ALL the animals stayed inside (where we couldn't see them)! Other than the lemurs, the highlight of the day was a fucking robin!!
Our picnic was on a nice open patch of grass with gale force winds; all the play areas were rammed with desperate parents/children & the wind was throwing up mud & dust.
We even doubled-down & had ice cream - which DS promptly dropped.
Today cannot end soon enough!

RemyMorgan · 03/05/2021 18:05

@ineedaholidayandwine

I bought my daughter sun cream and sent her to school in her summer dress. Sorry!
And there as me feeling bad for still sending DD in in her pinafore and tights this week. It's you lot with the summer dresses tut bloody tut!!
AuntieStella · 03/05/2021 18:05

I waxed my legs, expecting to be running in shorts

Sorry for my share in this!

RemyMorgan · 03/05/2021 18:06

I turned my heating off yesterday as the thermostat hasn't clicked on for ages. I promptly turned it back on today, tis' bloody freezing!

So I take some of the blame, sorry!

stillcrazyafterall · 03/05/2021 18:14

Partly my fault. For the first time in 10 years I paid to have my windows cleaned. They were clean for 24 hours before it pissed down. But I live on the coast so a rainy bank holiday is de rigueur.

IEat · 03/05/2021 18:16

I blame you all for my washing machine breaking on Saturday

redcandlelight · 03/05/2021 18:23

oh no eat for washing machine breakage I take no responsibility at all. no way.

I put lawn food on my lawn on Saturday. It needs to rain within 48 hours to wash it down to the roots. No complaints from me.

VicSynix · 03/05/2021 19:00

I have very bad news. One of our neighbours is putting in a swimming pool. It's going to do this until October.

HavelockVetinari · 03/05/2021 19:11

I mean, I was going to blame Julie Bindel as usual, but since you're all stepping up - you UTTER fuckwits! AngryAngryAngry

NeverDropYourMoonCup · 03/05/2021 19:13

@Timeforabiscuit

I got the garden clothes dryer out, and bought sunglasses.

Can't apologise enough. Sad

Shit. I added a pair of oversized prescription sunglasses to my order last night.

I'm also part of the problem.

Dee1975 · 03/05/2021 19:13

Take yourself off to the stocks ..... !

AliasGrape · 03/05/2021 19:19

DH booked a week off work on a whim and talked a lot about what he was going to do in the garden so it’s on him really.

Although if I’m being totally honest I did put on some of that dove summer skin stuff that I found at the back of the cupboard - in my defence if was only on my legs and I think I bought it back in 2011 so it was probably ‘off’ anyway.

CatBumJuice · 03/05/2021 19:38

I bought dd some sunglasses. I feel terrible.

georgarina · 03/05/2021 19:53

I'll put my hand up, it's on me too.

I bought some sunglasses and two sundresses on Friday. Sandals and sunhat for DS too.

MondeoFan · 03/05/2021 19:57

My fault too - bought new summer dresses, summer earrings, new garden furniture, summer school dresses for DD oh and a convertible car

Changechangychange · 03/05/2021 20:02

I took our winter gloves and hats over to our storage unit a couple of weeks ago, and got out our picnic stuff and tent.

You’re welcome.

AtLeastThreeDrinks · 03/05/2021 21:36

We took the electric blanket off the bed. Sorry everyone.

girlywhirly · 03/05/2021 22:06

DH complained that the soil was too hard to dig, as we’d not had rain for weeks. It must be his fault!
