It’s none of you. It’s Julia. She’s got a garden takeaway and wine night planned tonight for our little group of friends. She doesn’t even have a fire pit. Or a gazebo. Tut.

RickJames · 03/05/2021 16:46

I planted loads of seeds outside last week and put up the badminton net so I must share some of the blame Sad

Painandmore · 03/05/2021 16:46

I think it's Boris' fault. He said we could drink outdoors in a pub about 3 weeks ago. Temp has rarely risen above 3 degrees any evening since. Has to be the government surely. YOu can almost judge the weather outside by what state Boris' hair is in when you turn on the news. Don't even have to look out the window.

Orangebug · 03/05/2021 16:51

Yes! Let's blame Boris.

pointythings · 03/05/2021 16:51

It's my fault. I didn't put on thick tights this morning.

Staffy1 · 03/05/2021 16:53

Don't worry, we just put a large fan in the garage after it's been standing in the lounge since last summer, so I'm sure it'll be sweltering very soon.

Cwenthryth · 03/05/2021 16:53

Ahhhh, thanks! Makes sense, cloot, clothing. For some reason my mind was thinking something to do with fishing (casting!!)

MrsMoastyToasty · 03/05/2021 16:54

Its my DH fault. He has the day off , whereas he normally works on Mondays irrespective of whether its a Bank Holiday or not .

WestendVBroadway · 03/05/2021 16:54

T'was all my doing, I cleared out summer house(just a posh shed really) and left two canvas chairs in the garden while muttering "they're be fine."

Lulu1919 · 03/05/2021 16:55

I bought sun screen

SpnBaby1967 · 03/05/2021 16:56

I put our winter coats away, send some blame this way.

RB68 · 03/05/2021 16:57

my gardner friends are saying 3 more cold evenings and then should be fine. Poor local pub had to shut as staff were getting drenched in and out with meals and drinks etc and their new sheds were leaking

Cottonheadedninymuggins · 03/05/2021 17:00

I've been pondering a foot peel in time for sandals and flip flop wearing. Sorry all!

Rebelmcstreettuff · 03/05/2021 17:00

Just come back from a boozy long lunch with my 2 friends,we were absolutely freezing,no heaters and a parasol with the wind blowing in from all angles....we must be mad!
No one else in the beer garden they all cancelled lol
We had 8 cocktails each....we were desperate to get out and meet up so braved the bad weather!

Ninkanink · 03/05/2021 17:01

I can pass some blame elsewhere because last weekend I considered giving myself a pedicure and my feet some TLC but I decided against.

I did buy a pair of espadrilles though, so maybe that tipped the scales?

ineedaholidayandwine · 03/05/2021 17:02

I bought my daughter sun cream and sent her to school in her summer dress. Sorry!

Mrsmadevans · 03/05/2021 17:03

l got my sandals out and painted my toenails

Disfordarkchocolate · 03/05/2021 17:08

Ordered summer clothes
Bought sun cream
Lost 11 pounds
Booked a holiday

Definitely me not you @redcandlelight

Congressdingo · 03/05/2021 17:12

Nah it was definitely me, I put all my winter coats away properly. They've been hanging around the downstairs part for too long and I've not worn one in several weeks so I put them away in the wardrobe for big winter coats. Now I'm going to have to haul them out again.

muddyford · 03/05/2021 17:21

We washed our windows...and my friend cleaned her car.

redcandlelight · 03/05/2021 17:22

ordinary I definitely didn't wash the windows that's dh's job

someonelockthefridgealready · 03/05/2021 17:24

No, no, no, it was definitely me. I bought DH a BBQ for his birthday on Friday and ordered a load of sausages and ribs.

He's outside under the overhang in an anorak, BBQing in the pouring rain. Happy birthday to him ...

Physiometric · 03/05/2021 17:25

I thought it was just all of your utter carelessness, but then remembered that I bought some sunblock a couple of days ago. I apologise.

Harleyband · 03/05/2021 17:39

I'm not even in the UK and your carelessness has affected me. Looking at a week of rain and low temperatures hovering around freezing. I hope you're all happy with yourselves.

BettyUnderswoob · 03/05/2021 17:40

I put the summer duvet on our bed, so I can't help but feel partly responsible, too. Sorry.
